i don't like agreeing with richard simmons, but he/she is spot on.  if you don't believe that culpepper's start had everything to do with carter and moss, you are fooling yourself.  he is not smart enough or skilled enough to bring leadership to a team or turn a team around.

Wow, i didn't realize he had Carter and Moss with him college when he broke Steve Young's NCAA career completion percentage record. You're right. The guy has no skills.

Ray is the only Lewis I would want from Baltimore!!!!!!!! :D  Jamal is not the type of RB Childress wants.  Besides don't forget about Moore!  He is very similar to Westbrook.  IF he can stay healthy he could be the man.  He doesn't have to worry about getting Tice's doghouse anymore. :D

Both Ray and Jamal are done. Gimme a LB in the first round and Edgerrin James.

By the way, I don't agree with the actions of Daunte this offseason as well. He does need to just shut up, collect his money this year, and prove that he's worth a reworking of his contract. And if you think last year was all Daunte's fault in the first few games, well then you just didn't watch many Viking football games. There's the small matter of a crappy O-line and an O-line coach who was forced into double duty and calling plays because Red was too darn cheap to hire a coordinator after Linehan. Daunte is not the best QB in the world. He has lots of room for improvement, but if the anyone thinks it would be move forward to cut him loose on the cheap they are fooling themselves. Just who is going to replace him effectively?

i didn't say he had no skills. i said his fast start was largely due to having carter there to mentor him and moss to make some fantastic catches. now that they are gone and he's no longer as mobile as he was, he is in no way worth $18 million.
