Vickless Falcons?

Jaysus,

Look at the 1st paragraph for cripes sake!

Though there's no specific information to prompt a conclusion that Vick has taken steps to engineer an exit from the team, his repeated criticism of the coaching staff since the end of the 2005 season has fueled speculation that a divorce could be coming.

So this is coming from PFT's RUMOR Mill, where is no specific information to prompt such a conclusion, but they'll take it upon themselves to speculate. :D

I have however seen this....and from a CREDIBLE source.

Falcons | Team talking with Vick about restructuring his contract

Published Thu Feb 23 9:48:00 p.m. ET 2006

(KFFL) Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Atlanta Falcons are talking to QB Michael Vick about restructuring his contract. Both sides are waiting to see what happens with the CBA first, before signing off on anything, but Vick is ready and waiting to do what it takes to help the Falcons get back to the top of the NFC South.

Can we get a :D on this thread please?

maybe it has a little bit to do with the fact that Vick is the least accurate starting QB in the history of the NFL. You can have all the athleticism you want, but at the QB position, if you can't throw it, you can't win.

Where were these comments while Vick was on a role during the season? All I heard was crickets.

On a roll? you talking about those few 200 yard passing games he had?

I was just about to say the same thing. (He had 4 games with 200+ yards of passing.)

And I seem to recall Vick getting dogged pretty good around here just about every week.

If you watch Vick, most of his passes are in between the hashes...he runs outside the hashes.  Don't know if this is by design, but it wasn't till late in the season did they start to consistently call out routes.  There favorite out routes involve Crumpler running a cross with the WR to get outside.  It's pretty vanilla.

Dallas does it

Denver does it

KC does it

Seattle does it

Comon man they show these stats all the time when you watch his games his accuracy is like 80-90 outside the hashes and about most of his passes being threw the middle... yeah because that's where Crumpler runs his routes....

For the second part of your post about being the same as Dallas, KC, and SEA you're wrong because the only system it is similar to is my boys like you said Denver. Lots of play actions playing on the run constantly with some RBBC, but in terms of the receivers Crumpler, Jenkins, and WHite do not compare to Smith, Lelie, and slight bump down from Crumpler Putzier.

Hmm, seems to me those WRs who can't get open, sure found a way to get open for Schaub at QB:

After his worst week, Week 7, followed by a bye the hating was rampant.

It got pretty quiet from Week 9 to Week 12.

Week 9 - QB Rating 102.6, 228 passing, 1 TD, 38 rushing

Week 10 - QB Rating 108.9, 209 passing, 2 TDs, 20 rushing, 1 rushing TD

Week 11 - QB Rating 99.2, 306 passing, 2 TDs, 17 rushing

Week 12 - QB Rating 86.6, 146 passing, 2 TDs, 57 rushing

Until when Carolina stomped Atlanta and then the pent-up Vick hating was allowed to come out.

I know his #'s vs the Panthers were dismal to say the least.

Uhhhh.....for 1 year Panther Dave...otherwise the Vick led Falcons have pretty much OWNED the Panthers the last few years and Vick has put up some astounding numbers against them.

2001 - Panthers 0 & 2 against the Falcons

2002 - Panthers 0 & 2 against the Falcons with losses being 30 to 0 and a 41 to 0 :D

2003 - Panthers 1 & 1 against the Falcons (the Panthers loss was when Vick came back from his pre-season broken ankle and took a horrible 2 - 10 Falcons squad on a mini roll, including a humilating end of the year loss, for the NFC's Superbowl representative Panthers)

2004 - Panthers 0 & 2 against the Falcons

2005 - Panthers 2 & 0 against the Falcons (Falcons fall down and go boom! :D )

Vick's career Passing #'s against the Panthers =

186 pass attempts // 106 completions for 1,244 yards // avg of 11.74 yards per pass completion // 4 TD's // 6 picks

Vick's career Rushing #'s against the Panthers =

47 rush attempts // 414 yards rushing // avg of 8.81 yards per rush // 4 TD's

Close to 12 yards against the Panthers on every pass Vick completes and almost 9 yards every time Vick runs on the Panthers....and that's even including Vick's less than stellar 2005 numbers vs the Panthers which brought his average down!

Now that's DOMINATION! :D

Gee, thanks for the memories, but those days are over, the DT contains Vick as of now. However, you are correct, as he did own the Cat's for awhile, but it's the NFL, so what have ya done for me lately-gotten owned.

Apart from week 11, these are the numbers of someone who is sensationally mundane. If this is the best evidence the Vick blowers have, then they're backing the wrong horse, simple as that.
