Fatman
This might be 11th hour posturing, but Upshaw does not sound optimistic. Everything I've read says that an uncapped year in 2007 is in no way good for the league. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2343073
CaptainHook
I think the owners would lock the players out before allowing an uncapped year. It's Pandora's Box. You'd never get everything stuffed back in.
Gdawg
It would be an unmittigated disaster for the league and its fans.

Fatman
I also heard for the first time that an uncapped year would also lead to no draft in 2007/2008, although I'm not sure why. Probably the NFLPA decertification.
BigTen
Listening to millionares bit ch about other millionares and who should get the millions just makes me sick. I know people are just trying to get the best deal but I cannot stomach how these crybabies (owners and players) try to jerk the other around when most people in the country are just making ends meet with the way the price of things are now-a-days. Whiskey Pimp
So with the current agreement, who is it favoring? Is there any reason why it couldn't remain the same but maybe increase a bit for inflation?

But what if the owners rip up all the contracts and refuse to play the season? Unlikely, sure, but simple decertification can't tie the owners hands and force them to play the season, can it? What other weapons do the owners have beyond a lockout?
