PantherDave
Huddlers, the NFL owners are rich-yes, but not rich enough to feild an uncapped NFL. This is very serious business and could literally destroy the integrity and depth of the entire leauge. This could in reality, kill the NFL as we know it-period. whitem0nkey
The one bad thing about the cap is it dilutes talent, so that its a bunch of avg teams. but as a bear fan at the beginning i had little hope but it turned to a great season. but over all I believe that the cap helps the NFL be the #1 sport. Beaumont
I am just praying that the Chiefs can get under the cap without cutting Tony Gonzalez or some crap like that ... Seriously, its going to be amazing ...

Three maybe four contenders each year and the rest nowhere. The same contenders each year, too. :

Rovers
I think there will be some pretty good football players that sit the entire season out. Including some of the rookies.
Azazello1313
at least, even with no new deal, there's no work stoppage in sight.

PantherDave
Now, we all know how it feels to not have our voice not heard-to bad we can't send a BIG message as the NFL Fan Nation and stop buying tickets, but that will happen anyway, because an uncapped NFL means tickets we can no longer afford-this is very bad..this is bottom line apocolyptic. Azazello1313
Sorry AZ, a uncapped future means-major work stoppage ala lockout. 1347834 correct me if i'm wrong, but it's not even an issue (as far as a potential work stoppage) until the 07 season. if they STILL don't have a new CBA in a year, then yeah. I don't want to come across all Doom and Gloom, but I'll feel alot better when we "Know" what the future holds. PantherDave
So...How was happy hour tonite, PD? 1347958 Have'nt had a drop-just more proof that some don't realise how bad this could potenially get in NFL land. Some take NFL Sundays for granite, and this could have a major effect on that privledge, and as a fan, it concerns me.
Clubfoothead
Glover would probably be the only Cowboy's casualty because of this. Maybe Ellis. Glover might be going regardless.

The bottomline is this, the NFL needs a cap, and a CBA, plus all the loopholes that seperate the two, and as of right now-that is in jeproday. Skippy
I for one am of the thought that they, (NFL owners), will work things out. They know what they have and they don't want it to go away anymore than us rabid fans of their product. Having said that, it is indeed a very critical time for the NFL. They can wipe out everything that got them here to this point very easily if they get something worked out that is in the best interest of the GAME. It simply needs to get done. I'll have the radio glued to ESPN radio tomorrow for sure.
