Guest Sores
Wanted to report that Tom's Drive In in Appleton came through for me with the Cheese Curds! They sent a 12 lb. box a couple weeks ago. I am about halfway through it already! They are as delightfully tasty and bad for me as I remembered. Went to the website of the distributor and found out they normally don't ship any less than 2,000.

Fry em, salt em, toss em in a basket and have at em!

Jimmy Neutron
It's mainly a Wisconsin food. Discussed in this thread. 1354793[/snapback] They are popular here as well. Locally called "squeeky cheese." Good stuff - I like to nuke 'em for 10 seconds, it really brings out the flavor.
Chavez
There's a stand at the State Fair called "hot Wisconsin cheese" that doesn't use curds but the result is a deep-fried ball of melty cheese that probably takes a couple days off of your life all by itself. Man, is it delicious.

They send me back a franchise packet. Yeah, like I had a couple hundred thousand to build my own Culvers.
