Guest Sores
Washington and San Francisco are nearing a deal that would send a 2006 third-round pick and a 2007 fourth-round selection to the 49ers for wide receiver Brandon Lloyd. Pending a physical, the deal should be completed before the end of the weekend.
msaint
my obsession = best avatar ever. Lloyd would give the Skins the good #2 to Moss they didn't have last year. Smart move, IMO.

For a minute I was afraid that SF would actually have a wide receiver that people had heard of before.
muck
Was just thinking the same thing. I'm also wondering if somewhere, Johnny Morton is smiling at the thought of getting to re-sign with the '9ers...I mean, its not like there is anyone else. :ArnazBattle:
darin3
Wow, what a terrible deal for the Niners. Lloyd's the closest thing to a star they have on their roster. Maybe they know something we don't.

Avernus
No. Probably not. 1364364 Reid should be the one making a move for him with all that cap space and he fits our system to boot... now it appears Givens is our only hope at WR...unless Antonio Bryant gets a look, which is unlikely... Not that he's the be all end all, but this year's FA market for WR's stinks! So that might be about the best they get. But hey, on the bright side Pinkston will be back right
DMD
I cannot imagine why SF burned a #1 overall pick in the draft to get QB Alex Smith and then apparently are determined to surround him with crap. Evidently his learning curve is being satisfied with wideouts that are little better than found in your average pickup game in a city park. Why have supposedly the best QB of the 2005 college class and then ensure that all talent around him is stripped away???

Lloyd made some INCREDIBLE catches this past season. From what I've heard, he's not really a thug. I think he did make some noise at one point, but I believe it was just simple frustration with the situation.
General Itals
What has Brandon Lloyd done? He's got some talent, but hasn't produced much. He moves into a similar situation with the skins. That team will be horribel next year. He wasn't even the top guy on a really bad team the last couple of years.
Randall
Javon Walker might be avaiable.

Maybe they know something we don't. 1364363 I think they've seen too much of the following: http://img.photoamp.com/i/cgHCyJ.gif . He has made some spectacular catches over the last couple years but he doesn't make the small plays and that's ticked off some of the veterans and the coaching staff. A third and a 4th is more than I would have figured they could get, now here's hoping they actually add a couple decent targets through the draft this year for Smith to build some chemistry with. Maybe grab VD and use their 2nd to grab one of the WRs if they fall, or use the extra 3rd to move up to around 20th and grab Jackson ... I know as a homer that I would like to see some sort of intelligence like that, but hey at least they resigned Nedney. : Edited March 12, 2006 by cph

I remember seeing another play like that but worse because of a big hit coming.
