PantherDave
CnP'ed this off the NFL.com article, it's the offseason, so who knows?? Hurney said Foster will be ready by training camp, if not sooner. Davis, meanwhile, was released last week, leaving second-year player Eric Shelton as the top backup to Foster. Shelton was on injured reserve all of last season after breaking a bone in his foot during an preseason game.

Let Goings continue to back up Foster. But give Shelton some spot duty and see just how good he is. Goings has proven himself as more than adequate in their system. If you move Shelton along slowly give him a chance to gain confidence and experience I think it will only help him long term. And I think they will need him to replace Foster within the next season or so. Deshaun seems to be a little too brittle for an every down back. Caveman_Nick
For an organization that has had some good success, I wonder what it is they see in RBs that like to break their feet.
