Guest Sores
Tackle Kevin Barry has attracted overtures from several teams and isn't expected back in Green Bay. "The Packers sent me an offer that was unacceptable," agent Russell Wittman said. "I wanted to go to free agency. They called my bluff and let us go and I'm glad we're doing that. From what I've seen in Green Bay, they've got a lot of problems there right now. That's so sad for me, too. But I'm excited for Kevin." The Detroit Lions, whose new offensive line coach is former Packers assistant Larry Beightol, are giving strong consideration to adding Barry as a third tackle and recreating the Packers' old "U-71" package with him as a second tight end. Barry also has drawn interest from Houston, where former Packers coach Mike Sherman is in charge of the offensive line. "He was at Fan Fest last night," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. "The door's definitely open there. We're just going to let that thing play out."

communist pope
I've been wanting to see Barry start at right tackle for the past few years... Just another mistake in Thompson's time in Green Bay.

loyalboyd
Sound like it would be a good signing. How old is he and has he peaked yet as a player

Barry may want starter money but isn't a starter.
