Browns | Team agrees to terms with T. Washington

Sun, 12 Mar 2006 10:08:10 -0800

Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports the Cleveland Browns have reached a contract agreement with free agent DT Ted Washington (Raiders). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Romeo just got the big run stuffing clog, that the Browns needed for the middle of thier D'Line :D

Washington and Sapp didn't do too much stuffing in Oakland. They were 25th in the league against the run.

1st year together they were in the 3-4, which was extremely ill-suited for the type players they are.

Last year was 1st year of going with the 4-3 and the Raiders D as a whole was pretty putrid. :D

Romeo wouldn't have signed Washington if he thought the tank was empty. Watch and see how Romeo uses Washington. He'll get the most out of him.

i will never take the browns seriously until they start drafting rather decent. last season looked like a step in the right direction under their new management, but edwards nevertheless suffered an acl tear. i think frye will be good as well.. but again, you simply cant buy a team, stick them on the field, and expect them to win.. this isnt baseball.

So when they drafted Edwards, they blew it because they should've known he would tear his ACL? :D

i said that it looked like they were heading in the right direction from their draft last year.. its just unfortunate for them that edwards got hurt. we still dont know if he is going to fully regain his power and explosiveness.

True...true...but ACL tears aren't the career enders they used to be. I wouldn't be too worried about his knee.

Now the guy that I'm worried about making a complete comeback, is KW II.
