gilthorp
If true, this is a good deal for both sides. Witherspoon is a solid LB--something the Rams have been missing for several years now.
darin3
Probably bumps 'spoon up a bit on your IDP rankings. The Ram D has been piss-poor so he may have even MORE tackling opportunities.

Los Gigantes
Probably bumps 'spoon up a bit on your IDP rankings. The Ram D has been piss-poor so he may have even MORE tackling opportunities. 1365403 this makes absolutely no sense. worse defense = worse situation. The rams linebackers don't get many tackles because the DT's suck, and don't occupy the OL, letting the OL block the linebackers, and forcing the secondary to get a lot of tackles. Also, good offense = bad idps. The rams still have an excellent offense, which keeps the defense of the field, reducing the tackles to go around. Spoon is a great player, and will stll get his, but his situation for fantasy just got worse, not better.

Los Gigantes
Except McCree just signed with SD. 1365541 they realized that Davis doesn't have the coverage skills to play DB in the NFL. He's better suited as a seek and destroy LB. Maybe the Panthers will go after Demps or one of the other DB's on the market?

Piso Tinoisamoa was able to near 100 tackles each of the past three years, and he's a total scrub. DT Ryan Pickett isn't an all-pro, but he's no slouch, either. Good offense doesn't automatically = bad IDPs. If anything, Spoon's value doesn't move. Go look up London Fletcher's stats from when the Rams' offense was REALLY rollin'. He has been cramped in Carolina with some other names--this will allow him to spread his wings IMO.

Sgt. Ryan
yeah, Morgan and I think Short were the other LB's...but Witherspoon is the 2nd best of the bunch IMO... 1365590 Id bet Carolina wished they didnt spend the money for Morgan, as Morgan makes former Fragile Freddie look like an ironman. Besides Pickett is a RFA, so until hes signed the Rams dont even have that, and the Rams just signed La'Roi Glover, who is a small DT that cant eat up blockers, so that lends me to believe Pickett is probably gone. Fletcher played the middle in St Louis and Witherspoon plays WLB. Those 2 are not comparable.
Swampnuts
Except McCree just signed with SD. 1365541 They better hope and pray Colin Branch comes back healthy. Hello Thomas Davis 1365598 Yeah Morgan's pretty fragile. And yeah this does point to Davis moving to LB, which makes me as I own him in a dynasty league. Forgot about the Glover signing in St. Louis. I don't think they're done, either.
Sgt. Ryan
Nope they arent done, but they have signed Chavous, Glover and Spoon. I dont see them signing another top LB or DT for big money. But suspect they draft a rookie to compete for the starting MLB.
