Rules

The draft will start Thursday March 16th at 7am.

A new thread will be started for the mock draft.

Please no posting in that thread other than picks.

Use this thread for draft discussion.

Once your pick is made, that is final - NO Editing your picks.

No trades allowed.

Each team would be on the clock for 24 hours from the previous pick as the time is marked on the post. (That is for the rare circumstances that someone had something come up and cannot get to a computer) This rule is not designed to take 24 hrs to decide on your pick. You should have players targeted when your turn comes up. After 24 hrs and the pick is still not made, a pick will be made by some higher authority.

We will draft 3 full rounds.

2 New Orleans, Blitztalk

Why thursday? Drafting slows down on weekends. How about starting tomorrow?

We have to finish the 1st one and we need to see what is happening with Brees and Culpepper. That might affect some draft spots at the top.

As would be mine. :D

And since here is a very realistic chance that my team will trade down, I don't see why we wouldn't make it more realistic. It would only get out of hand, if all of the people involved let it.

And for that matter, there is still a lot of free agency left, so starting a new draft this week will probably not be much more acurate than the 1st one we did, just my $.02.

It works both ways, is there a realistic chance that a team will trade up to the #1 spot? Most teams are not willing to give up a picks to do that. When trades are involved, it turns into a fantasy draft because it really reflects more on what you want rather than what direction the team is going. Without trades in this mock draft, you should be able to see when the player you are targeting is taken and how far your team needs to trade up or down. I want to leave trades out for this mock draft.
