CarryTheRock
LINK Vikings | Childress does not rule out trading up in the NFL Draft Tue, 14 Mar 2006 20:59:12 -0800 Kevin Seifert, of the Star Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress did not rule out packaging several draft picks, they now own the 17th, 48th and 51st picks, to move up in the first round and select one of the draft's three premier quarterbacks: USC's Matt Leinart, Texas' Vince Young and Vanderbilt's Jay Cutler. "You look at all those eventualities and see if you feel like there is something," Childress said.

kcmast
Except people here think they can trade the 17th, 48th, & 51st for the 2nd pick. Don't know the Saint would want that deal. Edited March 15, 2006 by kcmast

Swiss Cheezhead
No way that's enough... 1370462 Exactly. I've already predicted that Vince Young could easily slip to them in the middle of the first round, but if they want to move up into the 2-7 range, it'll cost them next year's 1st as well. kpholmes
Please don't let the Vikings make the mistake of drafting Vince Young... 1370611 I was just about posting a line like this... Vikings going after CpepII to save their team... The only way they could get that pick is to include one of their many WRs in the package. Don't know the Saint would want that deal. 1370253 If they offer that, you have to think the Saints jump all over it, since they have a QB now. I hope they do. Saints picking up Brees, screwed up the chances for Jets trading 4 for 1. If nothing else changes, you have to think that one of the top two QBS are still on the board at 4. If the Texans pass on Bush, would the Saints take Bush?

Don't know the Saint would want that deal. 1370253 nope, not a chance. if you follow that draft value chart, the second pick is worth 2600...the 17th pick 920, 48th 420, 51st 390. that's 2600 against 1760, not even in the ballpark. but even if it was, wouldn't that be funny? daunte culpepper PLUS their own first AND second rounders for matt leinart? They'd have to throw in somebody like Burleson also ... I just don't see that kind of deal happening ...
