Outshined
Burleson has Seattle plans Minnesota Vikings receiver Nate Burleson, formerly of O’Dea High School in Seattle, told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that he plans to visit the Seahawks on Thursday and Friday. Burleson is a restricted free agent, allowing the Vikings to match any offer. If the Vikings chose not to match, they would receive a third-round draft choice from any team signing Burleson. Seattle is seeking help at receiver after losing Joe Jurevicius to Cleveland. Starter Darrell Jackson is also coming off knee surgery. http://www.thenewstribune.com/sports/seaha...p-5025989c.html
kpholmes
With DJax and Engram already there, and some more depth after that would the Hawks be willing to pay Burleson what he wants as a starter? When in reality he would be in a 3Reciever lineup...
alexgaddis
Burleson will remain a Viking...no question in my mind... I don't see any other team offering him money the Vikes wouldn't match...

Savage Beatings
I wouldn't be heartbroken if Burleson left. We would still have the Robinsons, Williamson, and Taylor. Not spectacular, but those guys could get the job done wihtout Burleson. Still I think he makes a good #2 WR.

devilwoman
I seriously doubt Seattle will pick him up...there are others out there in FA that would be more to the Hawks liking..heck we could even draft a WR. Hackett is coming along...Stevens though a TE is also becoming a viable target. I think Seattle can stand back from the WR FA frenzy and take a look at their options. Right now I'd rather match Minn's offer to Hutchinson than pickup a FA WR.

Bonehand
Plus, KJR is reporting that Seattle resigned Peter Warrick this morning to a one year, $1 million deal. Edited March 15, 2006 by Bonehand

Bonehand
What are the chances that the Vikings would agree to let Nate go as compensation for The Hawks agreeing to not match the Hutch contract?
wildcat2334
Well for 1- Warrick ain't playin WR - he is a #4,5/return specialist. If they do end up signing Burleson- he starts along DJAX- no question. Holmgren loves Engram, but he knows Bobby is better suited for the #3 slot. As long as Burleson is not too expensive- I like it.
