players resigned:

Tim Hasselbeck, QB-A a cheap solid backup that hopefully will never see the field

Lewis Kelly, G-Back up guard helping out with O-line depth

Chad Morton, RB-Vetran return man

Bob Whitfield, OT-Vetran backup

New players:

Sam Madison, CB-An instant and much needed improvement to the CB position

Will Demps, FS-Solid addition to the secondary, should do well paired with wilson

Quentin Harris, S-Young player, great backup/special teams player

R.W. McQuarters, CB-solid backup coner and special teamer

Jason Bell, CB-secondary and special teams depth

Brandon Williams, CB-awarded off of waivers, never played in a nfl game, will have an uphill battle for a roster spot

what Ernie had to say...

“First of all, we wanted Chad Morton and Bob Whitfield back,”  “We have looked for a while for a dependable return specialist and after we found one in Chad we didn’t want to lose him. Whitfield gives us tremendous peace of mind at the critical left tackle position.

“Madison and McQuarters are veteran corners who have instantly upgraded our secondary. The two young signees, Harris and Bell, will be in the mix with the young corners we already have to give us a good mix back there. And McQuarters is also a premier returner, which gives us depth at that critical position. We wanted to upgrade our secondary in free agency so we can go into the draft with an open mind.”

the more and more i think about it...i think id rather have the giants resigned griesen than go after arrington...should be cheaper and has shown he can play anywhere at linebacker. that couple with drafting a LB in the first round should make them a completely different team from last year
