Elizabeth Merrill, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs CB Alphonso Hodge was a robbery victim March 6, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution citing police documents. A man allegedly pulled out a revolver and, along with two other men, took $8,500 in cash, $32,000 worth of jewelry, a $6,000 watch, and his Hummer2. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday, March 15, the police have caught the men who allegedly held up Hodge. The robbery took place during a late-night trip to the Waffle House in Atlanta.

Guy's got all the cash and the jewelry..maybe he should be hanging out somewhere nicer than Waffle House? :D

Surprising..........from what I see, the Waffle House by my place is a local police favorite. They are always parked there.

I'm sure he was dumb enough to pull the whole wad out and count out enough to pay his $15 bill. If you want to keep it........don't flaunt it!!

You can take the boy out of the ghetto, but you cant take the ghetto out of the boy. This clown will be flat broke 5 years after making millions in the NFL. A fool and his money will soon be parted...

The real amazing thing about this story is the kid makes like 250k/year, before paying agents, taxes, etc., ... he only got paid for 1/2 of last year ... and he drives a 90k car and carries 8.5k cash and 25k jewelry?

Someone is making money on the side or something ...

From KC Star:

The report raised eyebrows in part because Hodge, a fifth-round draft pick, isn’t exactly on the high end of the NFL pay scale. He received a signing bonus of $128,750 in 2005. Activated in late November, he earned less than half of the rookie minimum salary of $230,000.

“Alphonso has been putting money away better than a lot of rookies I know,” Harris said. “Frankly, his investments are between him and his financial planner.”

:D

Harris said Hodge told him that the earrings were a gift in college :D and that there was a discrepancy in the amount of cash he was carrying. The Hummer2 was eventually recovered, Harris said, and the person driving it was wearing Hodge’s jewelry.
