lmao...1st I get burned by the Bently deal...now this

edit: per Profootballtalk.com

REPORT OF T.O. SIGNING IS "BOGUS"

Reports originating from a Lubbock, Texas television station that receiver Terrell Owens has signed with the Cowboys are "bogus," a league source with knowledge of the situation tells us.

KLBK 13 says that sources with the Cowboys have told the station that Owens already has been signed, and that the move will be announced on Monday.

On one hand, we could envision the Cowboys intentionally leaking misinformation in order to scare off other potential suitors while owner Jerry Jones wraps up a vacation. On the other hand, why in the hell would the leak be made to a television station in Lubbock?

Bottom line -- there's no deal, and the reports are erroneous.

(KFFL) Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, free agent WR Terrell Owens' (Eagles) agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has denied a report from KLBK-13 CBS TV in Lubbock, Texas, that Owens has agreed to a deal with the Dallas Cowboys. While Rosenhaus is denying the report, a source close to Owens has confirmed to FOXSports.com that Owens has agreed to a three-year deal and it will not be announced until the coming days.

This along with the original report makes me think it's true and both sides have agreed to keep it quiet until Monday's announcement.

ahaha...some dallas fans believe he won't ruin their team too...

I remember the good ole days....

"Andy Reid can handle TO, we win and that's what keeps his mouth shut...etc. etc. etc."....

All that proves is that people were wrong about Andy Reid being able to handle T.O. The fact is, people were out of their minds to make that assumption in the first place. What experience has Andy Reid had with handling extravagant players?...on the contrary, the Eagles policy pre-T.O. was to get rid of dynamic personalities. Besides, how much of a problem was T.O. during that first year? Maybe the deal with Dallas, if it in fact exists, is nothing more than a one-year guarantee with two behavior based option years. For a team to gurantee any more than that would be ridiculous.

If Dallas continues to improve that defense, which was worn down towards the end of last year, T.O. could be just the trick to get them to the big dance in what is probably Parcells' last year. He makes everybody better, especially the quarterback. He'll open up the running game for J.J. It's an obvious, no-brainer move in my opinion.

As long as he works hard in practice and prepares for games Parcells and TO will co-exist just fine.

Jerry Jones will have to deal with any off the field problems TO creates. In Dallas, TO becomes the main guy for the media to focus on and talk about. There is no McNabb like player to take any of his attention away. TO will feed off the "America's Team" spotlight, especially during the two Philly weeks during the season.

Even his signing or not signing is a TO "look at me" attention getting ploy. Now he gets to watch the media go crazy over him as his name gets splashed all over TV & radio speculating whether he did or didn't sign with Dallas (until Monday). TO loves this stuff. Here we go, this is just the beginning of a very long season for Dallas. This could be a Jerry Jones vs Parcells kinda year. Not pretty!

Wow! The Cowboys looked like they were building something good down there too. Now it looks like they have about 1 year to win a Championship before everything gets crapped on by the biggest problem in football. Good luck with that guys. :D
