Outshined
From the Pioneer Press; Briefly: Receiver Nate Burleson, who visited with the Seahawks on Friday, is scheduled to head to Houston for a meeting with the Texans on Monday. Burleson is a restricted free agent, and the Vikings can match any offer he receives. If the Vikings do not match, they would receive a third-round pick from the team that signs Burleson. If the Texans signed Burleson, I think they would be tempted to to take the pick. I like Nate and think he would do well in this offense. With the depth at WR, he might be expenable, especially with the high pick of the Texans.
Fatman
That would be interesting for the Texans...
Big Score 1
Unless the Texans fix their O'Line so it's better at pass blocking, Nate won't do well. There simply isn't enough time for Carr to go through his reads of WR #1, then RB, then finally to WR #2. Nate as Texans #2 and the O'Line not seriously up-graded = WR #4 for FF purposes....maybe! I'd rather have Porter Edited March 17, 2006 by Big Score

muck
Anyone know how it would work if, hypothetically: Team A has the 2nd pick in each round because they had the second worst team. They trade their 3rd round pick for a player. They trade their 2nd round pick for three 3rd round picks. They sign a RFA that would require them to give up a 3rd rounder. What pick do they give? They no longer own their original pick. And, now, instead of one pick, they have thre. Which one goes to the other team? The first pick in the round? The last pick? The middle one? Is it up to negotiation between the two teams?
