Don't know if it is a great deal, as that will depend on his attitude. It will definitely make Dallas a playoff team, and possilby a the Superbowl contender for the weak NFC. Unless they do more to shore up the D and O-line then I don't see them actually winning a Superbowl. We still need to get a good young QB, and now we don't have the cap room to go after one.

Edit to add: I still will not cheer for the pecker, though I will cheer for the Dallas WR.

Its really a wait and see situation. Its no secret hes the loosest cannon in the league but he is a dominant football player..Parcells is one of the best coaches of all time. He has his work cut out for him to say the least but footballwise Dallas just got possibly the best wr in the nfl. Its a shame hes such a tool. We shall see..

That is why I am not a Cowboys fan anymore. J.J. has ruined the name. I grew up a Cowboys fan(Oiler were my 2nd), but the way Tom was treated and the Shinanigans that went on with Jerry just helped me over to the DARK SIDE.

Dear Jerry, remember him "Defacing the Star" in Big D? That was a "SLAM"! If you really CARED about the Cowboys organization and tradition, you would not bring him aboard. It is a busisness to you. I know he gives you a chance to win, but have some PRIDE and DON'T bring this JERK in to tarnish this organization anymore than you have. :D:D

I think it was a fantastic move and immediately catapults the cowboys to the top of the NFC east, and maybe far into the playoffs. We need to sure up some other spots. Hopefully Fabini can hold down the right tackle spot and Bledsoe can stay upright. He throws a sweet long ball that Owens should love but if he doesn't get the ball because Drew spends to much time on his ass we are going to have problems. Time will tell. :D

The Cowboys will still be shining the Redskins shoes...just like last year. The Skins went a game into the playoffs last year and have reconstituted themselves nicely...both in players and coaches. Whether its Brunell, Campbell, or Collins, the Redskins will own the NFC East this year. So simmer down Boyz...nothing to see here...

yeah I'd take Randle-El over Owens too. :D and pay him more than Owens. :D

I agree that the Redskins may have paid too much for what they got. However, my point is the Skins weren't that far away from where they needed to be last year, and now they're better...

Consequently, all wispful thoughts of Dallas somehow winning the NFC East this year and then marching through the playoffs should be...as the rappers say...deaded.

+1

Diehard Cowboys fan from the early '70s. Voted I don't know because there are so many intangibles, beginning and ending with TO's attitude. Dallas has a lot of holes -OL, depth/youth at QB, and then the WRs. The signing of TO certainly addresses the WR but Dallas still has to get some players on the OL. Flozell is coming off an ACL and LA had a good season but is old an extremely expensive.

The key to this whole deal will be the play of the OL and if they can give Bledsoe time to throw the ball. If that happens (and TO had an epiphany while in exile) then the Cowboy offense could be a Def Coord nightmare. Glenn, TO, Witten, JJ/MBIII. Many weapons to chose from.

I just hope that Jerry has a plan to put the Prozac in the Gatorade.

Weak? Come on Perchy-pooh besides the Eagles the NFC east was a pretty nasty division this past season.

Sing on brother! Sing on! The Cowboys can buy all the players they want but you can't buy chemistry. It's the same thing that had happened to the skins for all those years. TO will ruin what Jerry Jones has not. The Cowboys will not make it to the playoffs. TO will get hurt again and Parcells will bench him before the season is over.

Snyder runs the Skins like a fantasy team..Portis, Brunell, Moss, Randel El, Archuleta, Lloyd are they homegrown?

It will all depend on his attitude. TO has been an Kate Middleton for years and it's hard to believe that he will change.

But, he lost money and respect last year. Two of his most treasured possessions. He also has to know that this is his last chance. Screw this one up and nobody is going to want to touch him.

So even though I don't like the trade, if he plays ball, helps the team, and does the right thing I'll admit that I was wrong and I may even cheer for him (after at least 2 seasons of grumbling about the trade)

hmmm...maybe this is what it's really all about... :D

Bring TO into the fold, pamper him a bit, and then pull the f'n carpet out from under him and bury him under the star!

Washington will not make the playoffs next yr, period. They overachieved last yr and shouldnt have won week 2, those 2 desperation hail mary passes to Santa Moss were literally the only thing that offense could muster in the whole game. This yr Dallas beats them twice by 20 pts combined.

And Roy Williams ended his season in 04, this is a new yr and hes getting a fresh start with America's team. Im not saying I wanted TO, but now that he is here, Im looking at what positives he brings to the table for this offense.
