Chief
http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/DET/9323430 Will we be able to trade him for anyhting, a draft pick maybe? Seeing as Collins, Griese, etc.. still don't have jobs, we'll probably just end up cutting him.
Randall
After saying that I would the same as Brooks' was after signing Brees.
Donutrun Jellies
Had Pittsburgh not been able to resign Charlie Batch, I could have seen Harrington as a suitable backup for Big Ben ... but I wouldn't have given up anything more than a 7th rounder for him -- and then only if desperate. Trade value right now after beating the guy unmercifully in the press for a year and then signing two replacements before bothering to cut him? Nobody will trade for him ... they'll just wait for the inevitable cut.
Duchess Jack
I'd take him at the drop of a hat as Miami's no
DMD
His ex-offensive coordinator is now in STL, but otherwise he has no connections since Mooch is gone fishing.
Duchess Jack
If I were Harrington, I'd steer clear of STL then
Egret
I think there is zero trade value since teams know he will be released by June 15. Maybe something happens on draft day, but I doubt it. Joey is due a roster bonus in June. Any team that he is traded to is responsible for that unless he renegotiates. I don't see that happening. Detroit is picking up any extra draft picks or players for Joey's departure.
Bengal Mania
If I were Harrington, I'd "steer clear: of STL..... 1378740[/snapback] If Harrington folds his resume into the shape of a football, and throws it from Detroit aiming for St. Louis, it has just as good a chance of landing short in Indy. right in Chicago, left in Nashville, or long in Kansas City. {Note: look at a map, it's a visual joke}
Furd
5th or 6th rounder maybe.

Dr. Love
Joey's contract is huge. Any team that wants him will want him for a backup, and no team is going to want to pay his current salary. Plus, is Detroit really interested in accelerating all of Harrington's cap hit to this year for a measly 7th round pick?

Savage Beatings
Rumors flying around here in Minnesota too about "whether it would be a good idea" to grab Harrington as a backup to Johnson. Nothing from the team, just media speculation.
Chief Dick
He might actually be a good fit in KC as a backup. I think he does have talent, and let's face it, Detroit hasn't exactly been an offensive juggernaut over the years. However, I think Harrington was as much the cause of that situation as he was a victim of it.
Swashbucklers
He can really tickle the ivories, if any team needs one of those for the locker room!
Chavez
I'm on board with the fact that Harrington might be worth a 5th or a 6th as a player on a team either needing a backup or competition for their starter. I think he has some ability, but he may be shot psychologically; he also appears to lack some of the necessary leadership skills a top-tier QB needs. Sincerely, Delicious P.S. If he does come to MN(as anything but an opponent) please strike me dead where I stand. Thanks
Voltaire
If I had to choose between prominently hanging a Bea Arthur bikini poster in my bed room or watching Joey Harrington QB my favorite team, I'd take the Bea Arther poster.
