DMD
Wonder what Randy Moss thinks of all of this... Former Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks will interview with the Raiders on Tuesday, as the team continues its search for a veteran to compete with career backup Marques Tuiasosopo and second-year passer Andrew Walter. Brooks, who turns 30 on March 24, was cut by New Orleans last week when the team signed free agent Drew Brees. While there, he threw a team-record 120 touchdowns and completed 56.4 percent of his passes (1,563 of 2,771) for 19,156 yards and 84 interceptions. His passer rating was 79.7. After starting 82 consecutive games for the Saints dating back to the 2000 season, Brooks struggled last year and was benched in favor of Todd Bouman for the final three games. He finished with 13 touchdowns, 17 interceptions and a 70.0 rating.
Randall
Wonder what Randy Moss thinks of all of this... 1378924 Brooks can chuck it. Moss would probably like that.
Swiss Cheezhead
This makes too much sense to NOT happen.
DMD
Probably - there are only three QBs of any experience out there - Brooks, Griese and Collins who they just cut. Sort of short of options just like when they went coach shopping.

Savage Beatings
Exactly. Succinctly right on the money. Well said. 1378967 There's a little somethin' on yer nose there SC. Brooks always has those flashes of brilliance mixed with dire ineptitude. But even during his bad games, it seemed like he was able to get balls to his #1 WR. I don't know if it would be a good move for the Raiders, but I bet Moss would really like having Brooks throw to him. Forget throwing over the middle to Moss. That's just not his game (alligator arms). Have Brooks just chuck that rock long, within 5 yards of Moss and you've got a strong liklihood of a reception. Not a good game plan, but nice for Fantasy owners with moss.

loyalboyd
Wouldn't the thought of Joey Harrington in Oakland make Randy just randy with anticipation? 1379307 I am rather curious to see if this will happen. I could see them taking both Brooks and Harrington to be honest. If they didnt want to gamble on the draft.
CaptainHook
Awesome! Brooks and Moss could take turns dogging it out on the field. Maybe they could alternate plays?
HowboutthemCowboys
I'd personally rather have Griese (although he is coming off an injury) 1379034 If I owned a football team I'd rather have Griese too.But it's the Raiders. They'll sign Brooks and the game plan will be ALOT of Brooks chuckin' up prayers to Moss. kpholmes
Anyone heard anything yet?? Be very interesting to see if this goes over well... Because nothing yet has for Oakland...
Big F'n Dave
After watching Brooks for the past six years, I really feel like he could be a solid QB with the right coaching. He's not gonna get it in Oakland.
