MikesVikes
On Monday, publishing company Simon & Schuster announced Owens is writing a book, tentatively titled, Ineligible Receiver: The Real Story of My Journey from the Super Bowl to the Sidelines, about his two years in Philadelphia. The book will go on sale in late to July, right around the beginning of training camp. "Finally the real T.O. story can be told," said David Rosenthal, executive vice president and publisher of Simon & Schuster, in a release. "It's an important chapter in the long-term struggle for players' rights in the NFL." link

ebartender
He keeps saying he wants to move on and put the past behind him, but as soon as someone is willing to cut him a check that goes out the window.

Randall
He keeps saying he wants to move on and put the past behind him, but as soon as someone is willing to cut him a check that goes out the window. 1379375[/snapback] Good luck Cowboys fans. Owens may have given a hint of his pending story when he recently recorded a rap "diss" track aimed at the Eagles. In a lengthy rap posted on his Web site, the newly acquired Dallas Cowboy openly taunts the Eagles about earning a guaranteed $10 million this season from Dallas. "When it comes to this game, I'm the best in the field, some said I was gonna sign just a one-year deal, but I got what I wanted up front, 10 mil, changed the rules of the game, so now how you feel?" Owens raps. Owens also takes shots at the Eagles' management in the rap: "I got a brand new team, I am a Cowboy now, no more black and green, to the haters that said I'm not going to get my money, I'm laughing in your face, ha ha, that's funny." Owen's blowup with Philadelphia last season led to new regulations regarding punishment, which were written into the NFL's latest collective bargaining agreement. Before his actions limited him to nine games last season, Owens had at least 75 receptions and 1,100 yards receiving in five straight seasons. Owens raps that he is looking forward to a stellar season with the Cowboys: "And this will probably be my best season by far, no more getting my Eagle on, you can meet me at the stars." Owens helped the Eagles reach the Super Bowl after the 2004 season. This past season, he criticized coaches and teammates, notably quarterback Donovan McNabb. He was suspended at midseason, then deactivated for the rest of the season. He was released last week and signed with Dallas on Saturday. What a tool. ebartender
How much do you want to bet that Owens wears a McNabb jersey to/from the Eagles/Cowboys game?
CaptainHook
My guess is after his first TD with the Boys he goes and stands on the star. And Cowboys fans will cheer. . .

The man makes any team he goes to better (at least for a little while). I can't blame Cowboys fans for cheering him on. They have to enjoy it while they can. Voltaire
Since the team he dissed the most as a 49er was the Cowboys (look, I admit, I LMAO when he danced on the Dallas star but I can tell you, had he done it in Detroit I'd still be p*ssed at him) this is really the wrong place to go. As a Red Wings fan, it reminds me of how upset I was when we brought in Chris Chelios. Up until that point, I intensly hated him, couldn't stand him. That's long past, he's been here a long time and today I'm way, way over that. I like him alot. Of course there's a huge, huge difference between aquiring these two. Chelios didn't come with a shred of the locker room cancer baggage that Owens brings, quite the opposite, he's a natural born leader and has been greatly beloved by teammates wherever he's went. Chelios was a team leader in Chicago, and a fierce comeptitor responsible for many a playoff and his playing style/talent made him a royal pain to play against. Owens burns bridges with as much skill as he burns cornerbacks everywhere he goes. Many of his ex-teammates hate him. Dallas fans, of course, know the whole TO story very well (even though they haven't had a chance to read his book yet). So in many ways, what Dallas fans will be going though must be ten times worse than what we went through with Chelios.

He is gonna blast TO the moment he comes into the middle of the field. I cannot wait.
TheGrunt
It most definitely will be interesting! I think T.O. will do just fine in Dallas.

Whatever team he signs with, the true fan of that team is stuck with him, and is gonna take the accusations and ridicule of having him on his team. Not much you can do about it.
