Randall
If Vandy does sign with Dallas, it will be in keeping with the Cowboy's goal this season to pick up every free agent who has ever bad-mouthed his own Pro Bowl quarterback before. 1384175 At least Vanderjagt was drunk. It also looks like it's Superbowl or bust for the Cowboys this year.

Kansas State 2000
Kicking off will now be a continued weakness with this signing ... I wonder if Dallas will be forced to carry two kickers.
Sgt. Ryan
Im not thrilled about this. I wish he would have gone to Miami, and Dallas had made a run at Mare, or even threw some coin Josh brown's way. This dude is a liability on kick offs, which could prevent the Dallas D from giving the Dallas offense good field position.

i_am_the_swammi
the sheltered life of a dome kicker. I wonder how he'll do come January in NY, WAS, and Philly? For the money I am sure they must have paid for Vandy, I'd have paid a tad more for Vinitieri....they'd have been assured of a kicker who can handle the elements of the northeast. CaptainHook
Vanderjagt can get adequate distance on his kick-offs, he usually can put it between the 5 and the 10, but his hang time SUCKS. And I honestly cannot remember the last time he had a touchback. Dallas will need the punter to handle the kick-off duties or they will have to carry a kick-off specialist. CaptainHook
Vandy is usually fine in the elements. He hit TWO 50+ yarders in the snow against Denver a few years ago. He's a great kicker. He's just not clutch. But he's more clutch than the kickers Dallas has had the last few years. Edited March 23, 2006 by CaptainHook
Gunther
Regardless of the ramblings of how 'clutch' Vandy is, he's still a HUGH upgrade over what the Cowboys have had to deal with last season.... 1383901 Agreed.
Retrograde assault
B.O and Vandy should love each other.
