westhemess21
What do you guys think of the NFL Network? Is it worth the money i have to pay extra to get it? Like let alone i would get it because of the games this year, but my parents need some convincing if you know what i mean...just give me any input
Czarina
I don't have to pay extra for it. It's part of the digital cable package, not a pay channel. And it's

Randall
Some cable companies think it should be a premium channel so they can get you to buy their high priced packages, the NFL thinks it should be a basic channel. I like it, but on Directv it is cheap.

louisville lip
Same here. 1393662      I HAVE INSIGHT CABLE. THE NFL NETWORK IS PART OF A PACKAGE THAT COSTS A FEW DOLLARS PER MONTH. ALTHOUGH THE NFL NETWORK'S NFL GAMES WILL BE IN HIGH DEFINITION, MY CABLE COMPANY DOES NOT PRESENTLY BROADCAST THE NFL NETWORK IN HD. PRESUMABLY, THEY WILL ADD THAT FEATURE BEFORE THE FIRST GAME, FOR AN ADDED FEE.  IN MY VIEW, THE NFL NETWORK IS SUPERIOR TO ESPN OR FOX. THEIR FOLKS ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND ARTICULATE, UNLIKE THE MORONS, SUCH AS THE SHARPES, MICHAEL IRVIN, JAWORSKI AND SOME OF THE OTHER CLOWNS, THAT ESPN AND FOX EMPLOY. They cover whatever is going on at the time. Now it is the owners meeting. Their combine coverage was very thorough. They repeat a lot of shows throughout the day and don't have a lot of them.  If you can I would switch to Directv. They gave me a free DVR plus a $100 rebate on top of it. I couldn't get it on cable.  They had one fantasy show, a hollywood league, but it was kind of dumb.  NFL Network-click here.
westhemess21
thanks for the advice, but i really dont want to switch to DirecTv bc then i would lose my Comcast Sports which has all the Philadelphia coverage

It's a totally kiss -ass show with only softball questions offered to interviewees, with lame player interection segments. Plus they air this at least 10 times a day. That is not an exageration.  But they do air games and tons of NFL Films specials, and that's great making it well worth the cost (mine is free with DirecTV). Bill Swerski
yea we have comcast and we would have to upgrade to get it...its like a 14 dollar jump monthly... 1393661     Same problem here. And I apparently can't get WGN at all. Comcast blows.  I've had both Insight digital cable and DirecTV in the past, both of which offer it in the basic (or expanded basic) packages. If trees weren't completely blocking my view of the south, I'd go back to DirecTV in a second.

Some of their trade and FA coverage is better than what is available elsewhere. NFL Films is always great.  It's supposed to a basic cable channel like basic ESPN. That's why they were pissed when Comcast(I think) would make you upgrade to digital to get it.

NFL network is in the 200s -- 265 I believe, which is why you have to have the digital package to get it.
Retrograde assault
Have it, but dont watch it consistently, are they gonna offer some regular season games in the future? Seems like I heard that awhile back.
