DaFreak
DID NOT SEE OTHER POST...SORRY... March 30, 2006 4:11 PM ET Texans: Moulds acquired in trade The News The Texans have agreed to terms on a trade with the Bills that will net them wide receiver Eric Moulds, according to the Houston ESPN radio affiliate, ESPN 790. The station also reports that Moulds has agreed to a multi-year contract with the Texans, and once he signs the deal the trade will become official. Our View The Eagles were also reportedly in the running for Moulds, so we're not sure if it was the Texans' trade offer (reports indicate the Bills were seeking a fourth-round pick) or their ability to negotiate a new deal that have apparently swung things Houston's way. In Houston, Moulds will line up opposite Andre Johnson and give the Texans two legitimate downfield threats; now the problem is, can the Texans acquire some more help up front to allow David Carr the time to actually throw the ball downfield? Brentastic
With Kubiak in there as head coach, Bush in at RB, some O-line help(don't know if they'll get around to this) and finally A. Johnson/E. Moulds, I can finally see the Texans having some fantasy appeal outside of DD. I've always believed Carr could be a good NFL QB(unlike Harrington). We'll see what happens in the next 2 years. e2a: It's always exciting as a fantasy football enthusiast to see different teams enhance their offense. I remember when St. Louis was the fantasy gold mine. Now we got former duds - MIA, HOU and DAL in the mix. Brentastic
if only they had an OL...oh the possibilities.. 1395926 Have they made any offseason moves to address this? I refuse to believe they will continue to ignore this glaring deficiency.

muck
I think that Moulds has lost a bit ... imo, he only has a couple of "better than average" years left ... Depending on the number of / types of picks and Moulds' contract, I'm not sure if this was a good deal or not.

i_am_the_swammi
Just glad he didn't go to Silly, I mean Philly. 1396162 Not so fast...from this evening's news stroies via Fanball.com: 03/30 18:25 Texans: Moulds deal not done yet THE NEWS Despite earlier reports, wide receiver Eric Moulds has not come to terms with the Houston Texans on a restructured contract, according to Harry Henderson, Moulds' agent. WGR 550 AM radio in Buffalo also reported Thursday evening that Bills vice president of communications Scott Berchtold said inital reports of the trade were false. Our View This news doesn't necessarily kill any hopes the Texans have of signing Moulds, but both sides will need to agree on a multi-year deal before the trade can proceed. For the time being, the Eagles are still in the running for Moulds. We'll keep you up to date with any new information as this story develops.
