Randall
Payton's rings recovered By Angela Rozas Tribune staff reporter March 30, 2006, 8:55 PM CST Police recovered two rings that belonged to the late Chicago Bears star Walter Payton after they were stolen from an Aurora museum and pawned in Chicago. Aurora police this week said one of the rings was a replica of Payton's Super Bowl XX championship ring, worth about $3,500. But Scott Ascher, owner of Walter Payton's Roundhouse restaurant and museum, did not disclose that a second one had been stolen from the museum. That was Payton's real Pro Football 1993 Hall of Fame ring, which Ascher said is priceless. Story

Guest THEbigred
Glad they got the rings back. Not just one of the (if not the) greatest RBs ever, but also one of the most class act players ever. Man could the NFL use about 100 Walter Paytons right about now....

Talant and class like that do not come around very often, and when it does, amazing things happen.
