Chavez
He's still a fool. 1405795 Maybe less foolish than you think... "I have to earn it," Terrell said. " hat's how I'm looking at it right now. I'm not taking the approach that I took when I first came into the league, that it was supposed to be given to me (because) I'm a first-round pick. "I'm going at it with the approach that I'm nothing. I'm not even a (No. 3 wide receiver) right now. I'm just a guy trying to make a team, and to make the team -- my goal is to be a starter. I'm going to keep my goals where they are and that's just what it is, and I'm going to go out, play great offseason football and get ready for the season." "I can't be around somebody who's not going to tell me to stop drinking when I'm out drinking," Terrell said. "So it's one of those things (where) I had to get the right people around me. I know that now." That wasn't the case in Chicago. "Off the field I did a lot of bad things," he said. "When I was in Chicago, that's a beast. That city can swamp and consume you, and for a 20-year-old kid -- I let it get me. I'm here in Denver and I'm around people that I'm supposed to be around," Terrell said. "The team, the people, the place, the time, you as a person maturing and growing up, knowing right and wrong. Little things that can turn into big things that you don't know. I know now. Catch the slant and keep running. Don't go down." Sounds like his head may have been removed from his ass. That doesn't necessarily translate into on-field results, but stranger things have been known to happen.
TheGrunt
LMFAO The only person better than me is me. 1405788 Someone should remind him that he needs to prove it on the field first.
Crazysight
Someone should remind him that he needs to prove it on the field first. 1405806 This just in: you can't read. The article clearly states that those remarks were made years ago when he was first drafted.
Ursa Majoris
This just in: you can't read. The article clearly states that those remarks were made years ago when he was first drafted. 1405939 Um, no, it doesn't. It is unclear whether he said them at the draft or recently, as can be seen below. As Terrell enters the Broncos' offseason program, he does so ebullient with confidence -- a confidence that was never completely dulled, but is rapidly regaining the luster made evident to the football-observing world on an April Saturday five years ago, when the Chicago Bears utilized a top-10 draft selection on him. "Terrell Owens is not better than me," Terrell said. "Keyshawn Johnson is not better than me. Randy Moss is not better than me. The only person better than me is me." Indeed, Terrell was drafted higher than all but one of those names.

Brentastic
Every time I hear David Terell's name mentioned, it reminds me of the story of him at a frat party while at Michigan. Apparently, after engaging in sexual intercourse at a frat party, D.T. comes out of the room exclaiming: "Who's got the bomb a$$ dick?!?! David Terell's got the bomb a$$ dick!!!!!" Classic. Swiss Cheezhead
Um, no, it doesn't. In anything other than a strictly literal sense, the article places those comments clearly in the context of draft day.
NAUgrad
This was off of the Broncos home page and means absolutely nothing. The loser didn't even play last year and until he gets his act together he won't this year. Good for him if still has some confidence. But he knows if he doesn't work hard and undersand the playbook he's going nowhere.

It'll be interesting to see if he can make the best of this opportunity.

If I recall correctly (which is a big IF with my pot saturated brain), a previous co-worker who went to Michigan told me that story.

The draft is mentioned in the preceding paragraph, together with some BS about Terrell's "luster" whatever that is, and the following paragraph mentions that he was drafted higher than all those names. The central paragraph with his comments may or may not be associated. Whatever, he's still a complete tool.

Goopster24
I went to the Bears training camp several years back when he was on the team. He was doing the gauntlet drill and he probably got four footballs max in the span of a minute or two.
