pistolpete2432
I hate how everyones bullshooting about how the steelers only won the superbowl because of the refs, yea they werent that great but seriously there were 5 considerable calls, 3 were right by the rules, yea you might wanna let them go but if would have gone the other way it would have been so much worse just like if the steelers would have lost to the colts and the superbowl doesnt even compare to how bad the refs were in that game, no one deserved to win the game but the steelers 2 big plays pulled out a win... yea if i were a seattle fan or if i hated the steelers i would be pissed off about it to but you cant even say seattle should have won the game

Donutrun Jellies
When you have accomplished as much as Miles Davis has, then, you can talk in the 3rd person like Miles Davis does. Miles Davis doesn't have to answer to you, but, Miles Davis is simply being polite. You should be thankful that Miles Davis even took the time out of Miles Davis' busy schedule to acknowledge your existence !!! Miles Davis is getting upset !!!!!! 1407494 Who is Miles Davis and why does he think he's Chuck Norris?

I love how they show a big picture of Peter King over top of it to make it seem that he wrote that garbage below it.

Menudo
O.k. Obviously, I can't resist posting defending the Steeler & certain Seahawks fans can't resist posting that they had the Super Bowl 'stolen' from them. So, there really is no point in going any further. There were 4 calls that become questioned in a big way during the Super Bowl: PI on Darrell Jackson - Though it was pass interference by the letter of the rule, as Jackson clearly pushed off, it isn't called all of the time, and I've seen receivers get away with much, much worse. The call was correct, but, due to the fact that it is so inconsistently called, I do understand the Seahawks anger with this one. Roethlisberger TD - I don't think anyone, and I do mean anyone can say with any degree of certainty whether Ben got in or not. He obviously wasn't in on the ground, but, when he was in the air, who knows. Whatever they called on the field was going to stand. Personally, I don't give the Seahawks much crying room on this one, because on 4th & a centimeter, the Steelers are going for it and likely scoring anyway. In fariness though, I don't hear Seahawks fans complaining aboutt this one too much. Holding on Locklear - Once again, by letter of the rule, he was holding. He had his arm hooked and pulled him back a bit. However, like the Jackson PI, I've seen much, much worse not called. As a Seahawk fan, I would certainly be upset with this one. It all come down to consistency, and that is the problem with the officiating. Hasselbeck block - This one was the only call that, without question, was 100% blown by the officials. This would be the one that angered me the most as a Seahawks fan. So, yes, I do understand the Seahawks fans anger. I get annoyed when they try to push it to an even higher level, dissecting every single moment of the game, or insinuating that it was some sort of league conspiracy. 3 of the 4 calls were justified, but, due to the inconsistency of officials throughout the season and playoffs, I understand the anger. Still, if I were a Seahawk fan, I would be angrier at Jerramy Stevens for opening his mouth and then coming up lame, Holmgren for the poor clock management, the defense for allowing the 3rd and 26, Parker's run, & the trick play. The point of this post was to say, enough is enough, and that goes for me just as much as the Seahawks fans. I don't have to respond to all these, and I need to learn to let this stuff go sometimes. So, for the sake of everyone else who is annoyed as hell by us, lets move on. I'll stop 1408138 Starting..........................................NOW Edited April 7, 2006 by Menudo
charty
Jeez, let it go Seahawks fans. The 2006 schedule came out, look to the future. Now we have 3 pages of discussion on how the refs blew it, how the Seahawks got screwed, etc., which means we have 2.5 pages of Menudo sticking it to you. Keep thinking about the Steelers on Week 1 @ Ford Field and you'll start out 0-1 after losing in Detriot.
Randall
You know the Steelers really had a great run. Beating the #1, 2 and 3 seeds in the AFC on the road was a great accomplishment. It's too bad the refs prevented a good game from being played. They really tarnished the game.

Bonehand
I mean, take a look at what we've got here. Hawk fans as a whole have long felt put upon due to years, nay, DECADES of mediocrity, quirky calls & bounces going against us, and being sold short by everyone, so if we finally made it through that, we're probably going to be a little nuts. Now we finally get our day in the sun, and although we pretty much all deep down know that the Hawks didn't do what they needed to do to win, there were more than enough squirrelly calls, in typical Seahawks fashion, to give us plenty of conspiracy theory fodder. We are perfectly capable of being psychotic about this for YEARS to come! So don't be surprised if every once in a while, one of us Hawk fans suddenly appears in a thread, naked & with twigs in our hair, screaming something unintelligible about refs & or Pittsburgh sucking, before fading away into the night....
