Savage Beatings
The Vikes have been bringing in some big names to work out before the draft. Supposedly they are working out Young today in order to get a good look at him. I'm still not convinced the Vikings will (or should) trade up for a higher pick in the draft this year... but it sure is fun to speculate! Savage Beatings
If the Vikings draft Vince Young I am moving to Arizona... 1423962 Funny... some people love him and others think he is just a tool. Wherever he ends up it will be interesting to see who winds up being correct. Personally I don't know much about him, but I tend to trust the scouts that are ranking him as the #2 or #3 QB this year. Since the Vikes have looked at Whitehurst and could get him later and cheaper, I've been reading up on him a bit... and I think he sounds like he could make one excellent pro QB given a couple of years of really good coaching. After Vick they probably don't want to build their team around him and for a top 5 pick they may need to. So he could drop, but I doubt if it will be as far as Rogers last year. I wonder how many teams know now who they want. Normallly the whole draft team doesn't get togther until a week or so before the draft. I like Whitehurst. I don't like Young. I don't like Leinart. I don't think they should have spent all that money on Hutch if they plan on wasting they year with Johnson at QB. I wish they would have signed Brees. Now, I don't know what the answer is. Deal with Johnson? Move up a few spots and grab Cutler? Plan on getting a QB via FA next year? I dunno. Sgt. Ryan
Lets just say Vince Young will revolutionize the position and will lead whoever drafts him to multiple superbowls. Id love for Dallas to trade up and get him, then fire Parcells after next season, for a coach that will develop him.

Caveman_Nick
Isn't that what they said about Michael Vick? 1424784 Tha might be true, but I never saw Michael Vick look like the man among boys that Vince young looked like in that national championship game. I think he will have much more of an impact than Vick.

wcd480
dont want him 1424821 likewise Vikes are better off taking a linebacker in the 1st while waiting for Croyle, Whitehurst or Jacobs in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.
Sgt. Ryan
Isn't that what they said about Michael Vick? 1424784 Vick was injury prone on College, and is too small to be running as much as he does. What did Favre, Bradshaw or Montana get on his Wonderlic/comparable test. Sure didnt hurt them much did it. Young knows the game, and has instincts that cant be taught. Young was obviously not prepared for the test, which shows he did much better the second time around. Are you telling me the capital of Tawain is going to help you read a defense. I dont think so. Just remember I said he is going to be great , so in 2 yrs when half of you wish your team had him, like I wish my team would draft him. He's a big moblie quarterback...haven't we seen that before? He may turn out to be a very good quarterback but unless he's going to hike the ball to himself I can't see anything revolutionary coming.
