Too close to the draft

The BS is getting thick. Propaganda from teams is worse than the spin from a White House press conference.

I wouldn't believe anything until after the draft.

Yep. Mort on ESPN's draft show was saying how you need to go back to your notes from February as they would be a lot more reliable than what's coming out now.

What do teams really hope to gain by lying about their interests at this point? I mean come draft day you pick who you pick. Is it just to try to play hardball when it comes to negotiating trades, or is there something I'm missing?

He said when Parcells drfated Pepper Johnson Mort asked him about it. Parcells exhailed loudly like a short laugh. Later Parcells said, "I didn't lie" I just didn't tell you the truth. Sounds like a politician.

I would say confusion. They want you to look everywhere but where they are looking. Sleight of hand, but these days everyone knows you can't believe what anyone says.

A lot, i think. Propping up players so that teams in front of them pick them, allowing other players to slide. Negotiating contracts (Bush and the Texans, maybe). Sandbagging on other players so that they slide. Encouraging other teams to reach for players.

I think the Lions are infamous for falling for this 'trickery' every year.
