PantherDave
The Panthers have shown plenty of interest in White, and sources say the team advised him not to run at the USC Pro Day and risk further injury. He also met at length with Panthers coach John Fox and running back coach Jim Skipper over dinner while they were in California to see him run. There's no reason to believe the Panthers would advise him not to run if they didn't have something to gain by doing so. White's torn hamstring or sudden weight gain doesn't appear to bother the Panthers. And if they've already fallen in love with him based off his performance in the Rose Bowl, then don't be surprised if they try to move up in the draft. C and P'ed this from the updated team reports on the home page-I wonder were the guy get's the info? However, it seems clear, that the Panthers and White have spoken, and supposedly he did'nt run due to the Panthers advise. Also, as I've said in the past about the Panthers training staff-they take NO chances, as if recovery time is 4-6 weeks, the Panthers staff will sit you 6-7 weeks. I'd like to see him a Panther come draft day.
Sgt. Ryan
Does this franchise have a clue what its doing. 1. Give Foster a new deal, with alot of jack. 2. Spend a high 2nd rounder last yr on Eric Shelton 3. 12 months later, spend a 1st rounder on the same type of back as Shelton. I guess you can wrapup 10+ million on your RB position, and 2 high draft picks.

PantherDave
Also, from the same team report, the word outta Charlotte is that Shelton may be a bust. So, come KO 2006, this kid may be off the roster. So, the RB in the 1st round may be essential.
