rajncajn
Raiders in 3-way deal? It's a predraft rumor fest The three-way trade rumor has come out of New York. It goes like this: The Saints and Jets would swap positions, allowing New Orleans to select Williams at No. 4. The Jets would then trade the No. 2 pick to the Raiders in exchange for the seventh selection, wide receiver Jerry Porter and additional picks, likely future choices. That move would allow the Raiders to pick either Leinart or Young. Meanwhile, the Jets would draft offensive lineman D'Brickashaw Ferguson at No. 7, if the Packers haven't grabbed him at No. 5, then trade Ferguson's rights to the Saints. This kind of multiple-team trade may be common in the NBA but rarely happens in the NFL. Plus, any trade involving Porter would immediately accelerate the remainder of the $7 million signing bonus he received last year. How much stock would one NFL general manager put in this rumor? "It's B.S.," the GM said flatly.

Avernus
here's the latest on Walker....via Howard Eskin people are trying to say that McNabb and walker have been working out in AZ....this is false, although it has happened in previous years, and there is talks that it's heating up between him and the Eagles...wrong.. the Packers won't let anyone give him a physical or talk to him about a contract....there are 6 teams interested...the Broncos are obviously the frontrunner...the Patriots even want in and for whatever reason, they want to stop the Eagles? from getting Walker....some sort of competitive spirit...and they need a WR... this is my opinion right here...lol, so take it for what it's worth...but the Packers have put themselves between a rock and a hard place here and will either keep him and bite the bullet or trade him to Denver as they are willing to take the risk on him.. muck
IMO, it doesn't make ANY sense for GB to not allow a team to look at his knee ... unless his knee is in bad shape ... or they genuinely plan on keeping him and don't want to be distracted by a tempting offer from another team. Either his knee is bad or they just want to punish the kid.

Return Of S&B
Not going to happen...all this is smokescreen or a desperate agent trying to start hoopla over his player (Condon - Leinert). Al Davis like's Lienert, but he loves Vince Young, Vernon Davis and Michael Huff. I suspect either Young, Davis or Huff will become a Raider come Saturday... policyvote
ROFL--why on earth would the Raiders move up to 1.2, when certainly one--and possibly both--of those two QBs will be there when they pick at 1.7? Unless the Niners jump up to 1.1 and take Bush, which means the Texans would be a threat to take Young at 1.6, I don't see the Raiders moving up. OR, they might do it if they thought there was a possibility of them both being gone by pick 4 (which could happen if the titans take young and the rumors about the jets not being able to pass on leinart if he falls to them are true). the scenario makes sense IF the raiders really covet leinart...but i'm wondering how much they actually do. spain
All signs continue to point to the Titans taking Young at 1.3. If they really want him, the raiders will have to move up...
policyvote
See, everything I've heard is that the Titans/Young thing is an obvious ploy by the Titans to mask their obvious interest in the surer, more immediate starter (and far far better player), Lineart. Meanwhile, the Jets seem to have little interest in Lineart and littler in Young. Basically, I think it's far FAR more likely that all three QBs are there at 1.7 than none of them are. Of course it's possilble that they value one way above another, but this is a "rumor coming out of New York" that a whole bunch of really unlikely stuff happens and the Jets are the big winners. I'm sure it's credible. Peace policy

I have been saying it for months. Now, which one is really anybodys guess.... 1440308[/snapback] Okay, let me guess: The Titans need a QB who can play immediately. The Titans's OC is Lineart's former OC. The Titans GM has been telling everyone how much he loves Vince Young in the last couple weeks before the draft. My guess is that the Titans are looking at the polished propspect with a long proven track record of not only being a winner in the Titans' OC's system, but actually for the Titans' OC. Or, you know, maybe they take a gamble on the next Akili Smith. Who really knows? Peace policy

Whoever they draft wont start this year. 2. There are ties to all 3 QB's: Chow was Leinart's OC at USC; McNair and Young have had a relationship for years and Young has been up to the Titans complex numerous times; Cutler played college ball in Nashville at Vandy. 3. I have no clue who they will take. None. Lots of mixed signals coming out of Baptist Sports Park these days. Obviously alot of subterfuge goes on this time of year. it will be Leinart or Young but I have no idea which...
thecerwin
The one problem with Leinhart that I see some teams having a problem with is his arm. This could deter the Titans. It would be an interesting twist if they went for Cutler instead.
