Easy n Dirty
With the start of the draft now less than 48 hours away, it's time to spend some time talking about the most exciting franchise in the NFL - the New York Jets. Seems most mock drafts have the Jets taking Ferguson at #4. I know the Jets have done some pretty complete evaluations of all 3 potential first round QBs, but the most current thinking seems to be that they will now not go QB in round 1, preferring instead to take a flyer on a second tier guy later in the draft at that position. And now, in today's NY post, Vernon Davis is extremely confident that he will be a Jet come Saturday ("I think I'm going to the Jets. If I'd say anything, I'd say the Jets will draft me. I'm pretty sure, if nothing crazy happens, it'll be the Jets." The Jets have used a first round pick on a TE three times since 1992 (try and name them), with unspectacular results, and if they burn the #4 pick on Davis on Saturday, the fans might riot. Should be interesting.,

spain
I think they take Ferguson or Williams. Whichever one the Saints dont take at 1.2... Edited April 27, 2006 by spain
Giants56
Because using their 1st round pick to acquire Doug Jolley worked out so well. I'd be shocked with Mangini there if they didn't go Ferguson or Williams whichever is there.

Hat Trick
The Jets fans would riot over that I'm sure
Pope Flick
The linemen aee obvious #1 pick, but it gets interesting if the Titans take Young, and Leinert slips to NYJ. I think their more interesting, and probably more important, picks are their second first rounder and early 2nd. Safe money ahas them taking Croyle by their 3rd pick so it remains to be seen what they do with that other first rounder: Mangold (if they end up with Mario) or Maroney/White/RB if they get DBrick......
