nogohawk
There early news at 5 AM had a sports segment stating the Eagles wanted to move up to Buffalo's #8 spot to take Brodrick Bunkley, DT, FSU. That would be sweet for the D-Line - I'm sure he would never fall to #14. I'll try to find a link to post.

Swiss Cheezhead
I don't know...I still have a feeling both the Eagles AND Bills prefer Ngata to Bunkley. I could be wrong, but no matter what your other D-linemen are doing, it's almost always good to have one big run-stuffer at LDT. Plus, big guys like Ngata can have more of an impact early on, since their game isn't as dependent on adjusting to the NFL. Ngata's BIG no matter where he plays. Both teams have their one-gap guy(Patterson and Tripplett, respectively), but both lack a space-eater. I'd take Ngata.

They tie up blockers who would otherwise be....BLOCKING blitzers. 2. 90% of college D-linemen are known for "taking plays off". The dude is 345 pounds. I'd take an occasional play off, too. In the NFL, he'll have better conditioning and a better D-line rotation. I'm sorry, but you're never going to convince me that a quick, athletic 345-lb. DT is NOT good for ANY defensive scheme. It's just not true.

Did they forget to weigh him?

I'm just telling you they have never taken an oversized DT...

Pick your poison, Avernus. 1441895 he hasn't even been talking about Bunkley as much...I hear Justice, Bunkley and Ngata... edit: I hear Ngata and Justice the most...but I read them 3 because of the OT and DT need...Tom Heckert tried his best at dodging the possibility Bunkley of taking Bunkley I don't even think they'll take any of them...but Bunkley has overtaken Justice on my favorites list... I think they trade down and take Mangold... Edited April 28, 2006 by Avernus

Piranha
Word is out of Bills camp that they aren't interested in Ngata, and they will most likely pick Bunkley. Unless they accept a trade or Bunkley is gone. Then they'll lean on Huff.

MikesVikes
The Bills would be taking a chance on their guying being there at #14. I thought there were 8 sure thing picks in this draft and they'd take the 14th?
muck
Anyone think it's possible that the asking price for Javon is the #8 pick of the draft? 1442499 No. Edited April 28, 2006 by muck
Swiss Cheezhead
Anyone think it's possible that the asking price for Javon is the #8 pick of the draft? 1442499 No. The Eagles were offering Hollis Thomas AND the lint out of Hollis Thomas's enormous navel -- NOT their 1st-round pick.
