Jackass
Seeing his carries are going to be limited, he will not be used much at the goal line presumably, and with Deuce still on the roster and apparently not going anywhere anytime soon, what do you see as his max output of td's and yards, best case scenario in say 2 or 3 years? I see him making some great plays this year and being a very productive player but I wonder how much of a TD man he will be this year? TheGrunt
3 if hes lucky 1446888 Sadly, that is actually possible. It's too bad, but I really think the Saints drafted pretty well this year and I'm hopeful this team starts to do much better in the next few years. He could put up and extra 3 or 4 kick rturn TD's as well. 1446895 This is true. But where does one see him getting drafted in FF leagues now? This could make things very tricky for many people thinking of drafting him first overall. Edited May 1, 2006 by TheGrunt

Keeper or rookie leagues would be higher. I am picking him #1 I think in keeper rookie draft.
Perchoutofwater
How productive are most 3rd down backs? Add 25% because he is a little better than most and for is KR and PR abilities and there you have it.

Look at Mike Anderson last year sharing carries with Tatum Bell. So, if you consider Bell the 3rd down back, they don't do so well, but Anderson was a TD machine last year. Edit: But this IS the Broncos, so the TD's might be skewed a little higher than most other teams. Edited May 1, 2006 by TheGrunt

I still feel Bush will eventually become a very productive NFL RB, and hopefully a productive FF RB as well. It will be interesting to see how well he does on special teams. Jackass
Tiki Barber. 1446961 what i don't really get is he is about barber's size and only 10 pounds smaller than faulk. yet the way people are talking you'd think he was a midget. It wasn't until Shockey came aboard and made the safetys pay attention to the TE, that he really started to explode. Until the last two years, he was a middle of the road RB, with a fumbling problem. Do you spend the 1.1 or 1.2 on a guy that might end up being very productive in his 8th or 9th season, when you already have a very productive RB? It wasn't as much the change of some players that took Tiki up a notch as it was his conditioning and workouts in the offseason. I've watched it firsthand and haven't seen anything else like it with the exception of P.Holmes. The man is posessed while working out. Edit to add: Natural talent and athletic ability will only take you so far, ala' Vick and a host of others. He's a big guy with a lot of talant. He will do just fine, everyone will see soon enough. I think the Saints had a great draft and I'll continue to say (unless the Saints prove me wrong next year) that they will have a huge year next year, at least compared to last year they will. muck
Bush will have some HUGH games ... and a bunch of games where nothing much happens. People will start him at all the wrong times all year long. He will get way over valued by someone in nearly every league. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get picked in the first round in more than a few redrafter leagues...and the sooner the draft the more likely it is that he'll be drafted too early (assuming Deuce is still healthy and on the team). I really see Bush as the second coming of David Meggett. A pretty good 3rd down back and punt and kick off returner.
