i was fully expecting Denver to grab a RB in the first two rounds. well, they didn't take one at all.

do you think this means that they think Dayne, and Bell, can get the job done? Or will they just pick up whatever's on the street and call it their running back?

I was dead wrong about this...

I'm still going to wait and see what they do...

I don't like this situation right now....at all..

I actually smell RBBC...and I haven't said that often about Denver as they tend to stick to their stud...

Plenty of time for them to make a trade , I fully expect they do.

If it is Dayne he will do well enough behind that line and system, I just see them looking for someone a little faster than Dayne and a little more powerful than Bell.

While Dayne is big enough Bell may be the more powerful of the two :D but he does do well in a zone scheme.

Does Tennessee send Brown or Henry packing?  Does NO try to move Deuce?  Any other potential "big name" RB's going to be moved?

How about Fragile Freddie in Jax? If he stays healthy he could have a hell of a

year in Denver.

As well as the Parker/Bettis duo did in the Burgh I don't see why Dayne couldn't

play the Bettis role in Denver. They definately have the line to do it.

Denver could find a RB out of nowhere again. Remember Terrell Davis as a

7th rounder. That's one step away from UDFA. So who knows? :D

they will likely splice their genes to make their super-back....they are polar opposites of one another and they want something in between..

I'll wait until training camp and pre-season to come with a decision...

the fact that Dayne has already been named the starter is :D to me...

I see Kevan Barlow becoming a Bronco or Steeler for some reason.

Just a feeling, but SF didn't really address Rb in the draft. Can Gore be trusted?

plus they have another decent back, I can't recall the name though..

Mike Bell - RB - Broncos

Broncos signed Arizona running back Mike Bell.

Any running back on the Denver roster is worth watching. The team also signed Notre Dame FB Rashon Powers-Neal; North Carolina State WR Brian Clark, Temple DT Antwon Burton, Ohio State S Tyler Everett, and LSU LB Cameron Vaughn. May. 1 - 11:10 pm et

I remember -- VERY early on -- reading some reports that the Broncos liked Mike Bell. He's a poor man's Ron Dayne (which means that man must be VERY poor :D )

Bell fumbles the hand off and Mike Bell picks it up.

Of the undrafted FA RB's available Mike Bell was ranked pretty low. For goal line backs Gerald Riggs JR would be a better choice, but then Denver is good at getting RB's.

Gerald Riggs Jr

RB | (5'10", 232, 4.55) | TENNESSEE

Strengths: Is a big, physical north-south type runner. Is tall, well built and powerful. Shows very good burst to the hole for a back his size. He shows good burst through the LOS for a back his size. Can be a powerful back when he runs with good pad-level. He breaks a lot of tackles, keeps his legs pumping and will push the pile. He has an excellent stiff arm in the open field. He shows much improved vision and patience as a back. He does a good job of hitting the cutback lane.
