keggerz
http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/frontpage McNair's agent expects QB to be traded to Ravens todayJIM WYATT 4/30/2006 Bus Cook, the agent for Titans quarterback Steve McNair, said he expects McNair to be traded to the Baltimore Ravens at some point today. According to Cook, the Titans and Ravens have discussed trade possibilities today. "I think there will be a trade done some time today, probably sooner than later," Cook said. "McNair is aware of the talks. He'll be fine to move on. The Ravens are a very competitive team. He can take them to the Super Bowl. He is getting ready to go to Baltimore.'' Titans officials decline comment.
NAUgrad
So is Volek the starter from day 1 if this goes through?
Big Score 1
I don't see any reason for the Ravens to trade for McNair. Waddell a Titan CB, just went down with injury and will be out awhile, which leaves the Titans extremely thin at CB. To that end, the Titans have FA visits scheduled with Ty Law & Ahmed Plummer, but only have something like $112,000 in cap room. Releasing McNair instantly gives them another $9,000,000 in cap room. Between the Grievance & cap room, the Ravens will be able to get McNair for free very soon.
Big Score 1
FYI keggerz, You do realize your thread title is very missleading. "McNair's agent expects trade to Ravens today". That article was written Day Two of the Draft, Sunday April 30th. Today is Thursday May 4th.

jaxfactor
Wouldn't surprise me that at some point baltimore ends up with McNair but not by trade. Why pay for something when you can get it for free(agent that is). What makes even more sense is Baltimore not drafting a QB. Do they have that much faith in Boller? I think not. Savage Beatings
If McNair goes to the Ravens.... what does everyone think about Jamal? 1452005 Even after getting called on it, and then admitting it last year, Lewis still didn't play as hard as he could. Something was very off. He'll have to prove to me that this has changed before I belive that he can play up to his potential once again. McNair will control where he goes.

Beaumont
The pressure on B-More to trade for McNair was to get him into mini camps. The pressure is, however, also on TN to free up money to sign a FA CB ... This will get done ...
Menudo
Will McNair have to commit some sort of crime before the trade to the Ravens can be official ? Edited May 4, 2006 by Menudo

Big Score 1
I think he's already got one or two on his record that qualify. 1452695 There was a gun charge where he had a pistol in his car concealed without having a Concealed Weapons Permit. But that was either dropped, dismissed or he was found not guilty. Can't really remember the exact disposition. That's it for McNairs run in's with Johnny Law, as far as I know

Then they found out he was an athlete, and not a drug dealer... so the charges were dropped.
