G3-175SE
I run a couple of local leagues that do live, in person drafts. We have always used paper but I have always been on the lookout for software I can load on a laptop and use. Recently someone mentioned Fan Draft and I found it very interesting. Can anyone tell me their experiences with it, pro and con? Also, anyone have any other software packages that I might find useful?
Skippy
The very best that you can do is at www.fflm.com That software is great for a live draft. I do a few a year. It is great for running your league. I run several with a lot of huddlers in a few of them. It is the best, $60.00 I think for new owners, that you will ever spend on software. The people over at fflm are second to none with tech support and will go crazy to make any problem you have go away. Give it a free try and learn the ropes. You can thank me after the season. G3-175SE
I looked at it and it looks very useful for a draft. Maybe they should do a slimmed down version just for drafting.

Spreadsheets are functional but not very entertaining.

Spreadsheets are functional but not very entertaining. 1456078[/snapback] If you really only want to use it for the draft then you could use if for free. You won't really need a slimed down version either. Just set up the teams, two minutes, then set up the draft order, one minute, then if you want only to use it for the draft and the software to call out the names as you enter them and also give you time alerts then spend about another minute and you will be set. You could also get the software to give you a custom, to your league rules, cheat sheet if you want to take the time to set up the scoring. Or you could be really lazy and just use one the pre packaged scoring systems that is close to yours and you will love it.

I also like the flexiblity of standard draft and an auction draft. I have two leagues and do a standard draft with one and auction draft with the other. Thanks for the help.
