PantherDave
Saw a 2lb bag of pinto beans in the pantry, soaked for about hour and a half after a five minute boil. Then put in 8 cups cold water, ham hock ,one med onion. Boiled that for 10 minutes, then covered and turned down the heat to simmer level. Going to add some diced ham and crumpled bacon atfter two hours simmering, then simmer for about 1 hour longer. Should be tasty-high energy, high fiber, high gas-low fat. Clubfoothead
I'm going to make individual Beef Wellingtons with green beans and mac and cheese. We shall see. I'm allergic to mushrooms so I'm going to have to use shallots.
