theeohiostate
I know most here dislike CBS, but i've used it for 3 of my leagues for 6-7 years, and don't mind it a bit. I'm starting to get an attitude now, as they do not send out email notifications on offseason transactions, trade request etc. They won't generate this until they realease the 2006 version...........which is i'm told now until 1st of July, what the hell takes so long?? DMD
Seems like a bad business decision to me at the least.
georgemoe
Sorry TOS. I used CBSSL years ago in a 2nd local. I didn't mind it but found it to be over priced. I don't remember that much of it so cannot speak to value for the $. BTW - I've already set up my locals 2006 league at MFL.

cliaz
I've used CBS for years. I enjoy it a lot. You might want to try out: http://www.homegrownsports.com/ my buddy started this one years ago (shamless plug I know, he had around 35,000 leagues on it last year give or take.) and on one of my league we use it. I enjoy it a lot and very user friendly. Might want to check it out. Edited May 13, 2006 by cliaz

Avernus
most of the owners in my league aren't very computer literate....Sportsline is very user friendly...that's it's perk..
Savage Beatings
My local leagues have used CBSSportsline for years now and have pretty much always had a good experience. I'd like to see someone rank them for features, ease of use, customer service response, etc., and then also show the comparative costs... that would actually be a very helpful off-season article. theeohiostate
I think the most negative aspect ,is the cost, the advice isn't real stellar either, but i don't know anyone the uses it anyhow. The interface is simple and user friendly, i wouldn't advise it for dynasty leagues unless ALL owners are very active. Not gettings email updates in the off-season is BS and not being able to make scoring or roster changes until they launch the new product each year is Bull too. These are the only problems i see with it, since i don't commish on MFL , i can't speak to how the offseason is dealt with there............anyone? XFlash
I have used CBS for many years except last year. I moved our keeper league there and have not looked back since. - Overprice for the product was a major factor - Scoring Options was the next MFL offers so many options for many kinds of leagues, rules & scoring. You just can't beat it, especially for the price. Yes, I agree not as user friendly, but it only takes a little while for owners who have used a FFL website to adjust to new settings. loaf
CBS is great for the non-PC literate FF player. I have used it for our League for 6 years. I took us to MFL several years ago and got so much slack because the Owners didn't know what to do, I had to go back. It's true though, for the no frills, just the facts m'am dashboard, MFL is the way to go. For folks who need to be told where to click and get one stop shopping (yes about 1/3 of my local Owners don't go anywhere else for FF info) and a pretty interface, CBS is the ticket. MFL biggest draw back is getting use to their way of doing things and their Waiver/FA setup. This will be my second year on MFL. I would not go back to CBS or Antsports. MFL can save $20-40 a year for a league.

bustedflush16
My league has used CBS since 2000. While it is overpriced and the "expert" advice is laughable, the page is easy to use, the live scoring is quick and accurate and it keeps a record book of our league, ie, most wins, winning streaks, pts differential, etc. for all six years. My other league is on MFL and I am a much bigger fan of CBS. The owners in my league would flip if I tried to move us now. For a ten team league I think CBS is definately worth the $13 per team we pay. I'd like to see CBS "reward" their repeat customers with a special renewal price, but that is never going to happen. A 12 team league would be the same cost as a ten team league. The twelve team league members would obviously pay less per team than the 10 team league. Atlanta Cracker
I started out in a CBS leauge a few years back when they were free. After they started charging I dropped them. Last year I stumbled into a local league run at CBS. I really enjoyed the competitive advantage I had using real advice from the Huddle v/s their crap and weekly predictions!!! I'm willing to pay more to keep that league there rather than risk them finding out about good online FF advice!
