cliaz
Larry Johnson may be even busier next season, as new coach Herm Edwards told the team's official website the Chiefs may run the ball more in 2006. "I'm not saying we're going to just exclusively run the ball, but if you look at us last year we threw about 523 passes and ran the ball about 505 times, somewhere in that vicinity," Edwards said in a Q&A session on the team's website. "I anticipate if we're playing with a lead, we're going to run the ball more than we did last year and not worry about continuing to try and get a 17 point lead. I think we have a great offensive line, we've got a heck of a running back and there's going to be times when we need to pound it a little bit more." Assuming the drool hasn't short-circuited your keyboard while you dream about LJ getting 400 carries behind that offensive line, feel free to go ahead and cement Johnson as your top overall pick. pedroz13
Great....thats all Trent Green owners need to hear. As if the running game didn't steal enough TDs from him over the last 3 years.

Its almost too good to be true in a fantasy situation. And I'm glad I didn't have the first pick in our draft and have to make the decision. Its hard to walk away from it, but at the same time its sooooo tempting.

Any player can be injured any time, that's a crapshoot, but Johnson's situation seems the best of the top three to me. Having said that, just as good a case could be made for SA or LT. Caveman_Nick
Here's another thing to keep in mind when considering how much of an injury risk Johnson is... That KC o-line opens up hugh holes. Lots of RBs spend their time banging into DTs, DEs and LBs, which can be really punishing. LJ spends more time bsing taken down by LBs and DBs. Sure he bumps into the line for no gain as much as the next guy, but he's also snapping off more long runs and being taken down by smaller, less punishing foes no a more frequent basis. FWIW, I feel the same thing...Injury to him sooner then later. 1480872 I agree with this. No reason to call someone an idiot...just because their statements make them look that way is no reason to call them an idiot. I just wonder why there is this injury hope. Must be someone that has no chance to pick him up. He has the same chance as anyone to get hurt. It is not like we are talking about Duece Staley here. loyalboyd
All I can hope is that his carries are not at 400. Now if that combined with catches yes. But I dont want him to be a J. Lewis. Get the rushing title then always hurt. So they need to get a change of pace back in here quick. EDIT: This from a LJ owner via Dynasty. flemingd
No suprise. Herm wasn't exactly known for going light on Curtis Martin's work in NY. Was discussing LJ late last season (week 11ish) as far as where he'd be ranked next (this) year. My brother was hard-core #1 overall, I wasn't convinced pending how the Chiefs, in particular the HC, shaped out. Had it been some dumbass like Martz I wouldn't have been too high on him, but the minute Herm was announced LJ became an instant #1 for me and only an injury will change that. alexgaddis
I think LJ will get hurt in week 6 when during the halftime show a float runs over his left foot causing him to miss the next 4 weeks... count on it!

No need to express opinions if theyre only to call someone a name. Whatever...Im not sure if youre trying to say Im an idiot or not, but names dont mean jack squat to me....Especially from a kid behind a PC on the internet. I respect everyones opinion here, and Id hope they respect mine. Now I never said I hoped LJ gets hurt, I just have a feeling he will. Ya, Im not an LJ owner, nor will I be one. If I had the choice of the 3 RBs that are potential #1s, Id take LT2 over the others ANY day. Edit to add - This is, of course, MY OPINION! cliaz
maybe it's time to make a sigline bet or something? 1481386 This is not a betable issue because as Ursa pointed out, anyone can be injured at any time. I'm saying that because he has not done a full load in the NFL plus other issues i've mentionted before, he is what I call "At risk" for an injury (among other things.) If you are talking about football games, then yea sig bets are always on the table. All I'm saying is people that draft him 1st over all "may" be a little pissed by seasons end. Just my personal opinion on the matter.
