Walker warming up (May 26th)

Wide receiver Javon Walker continues to progress in his recovery from knee surgery, adding warm-up pass routes for the first time in practice on Thursday. "Kind of snuck that in on my own," Walker told the Denver Post. "But obviously since I'm sprinting, I can do that."

Walker has not added cutting to his rehab schedule yet, but he remains on schedule to be full strength by the start of training camp. We'll continue to monitor every little step of his progress given his considerable upside.

I hope he is 100%. I could use more superstar stats to go along with TO's.

Doubt if he'll be 100% early. He is learning a new offense, but near playoff time he very well could be. That's when I'll count on him.

I think he will be ready to go week 1. He's had ALOT of time to rehab. The guy will be a monster this year.

But are you a Walker owner? If so, of course youd say that. I say the same thing. If not, then thats encouraging news. :D

I'm not a Walker owner but he is not going to have a daring gunslinger throwing darts down field to him. Plummer is effective, but the bootleg rollout style seems to be a farily conservative/basic system designed to limit mistakes which results in a lot of dink and dunk passes. I still think Rod Smith as Plummer's safety net and Walker is coming into a new system. Saying Walker will be a monster this year seems fairly courageous to me.
