McGahee's absence (may 26th)

Willis McGahee continues to skip out on the Bills' voluntary workouts, but new head coach Dick Jauron isn't too concerned. "You know what? If he's here, we'll coach him and if he's not we won't," Jauron told the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. "It's voluntary time. I'm not too worried about it to be honest. We wish he was here. We've called him, we've talked to him, but he's not here. He's chosen not to be here." McGahee raised eyebrows this week when he skipped out on Bills organized team activities, then showed up on the NFL Network, where he is co-hosting in studio with Rich Eisen.

McGahee is obviously missing out on valuable opportunities to get to know new offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild's terminology and sets, and his absence has not gone unnoticed, despite Jauron's comments to the contrary. There have been rumors that McGahee is pondering holding out for a new contract to replace his current, incentive-laden deal. Given that he is represented by the egomaniacal Drew Rosenhaus, that would not be a huge surprise. We'll likely know more in mid-June, when a mandatory mini-camp is held in Buffalo June 12-14.
