Perchoutofwater
Does anyone have any information on this kid? I know he is an undrafted rookie that was kicked off the South Carolina squad for drugs. I think he I remember him as a Bush type player. As a freshman at South Carolina he had 124 carries and 638 yards (5.1 YPC), and 12 receptions for 146 yards (12.2 YPC). He was averaging 5.5 YPC his sophmore year when he got kicked off the team for drug issues. As high school player he was ranked higher than Reggie Bush. He has been out of football a year waiting, until he was old enough to enter the NFL. Are there any SEC fans out there that remember the kid? Is he good? Could he be a threat to Jones in a year or two?

spain
I saw him his freshman year and was really impressed. i thought he was the real deal at that time. But then he started having all sorts of off field issues and never really got back. He is well worth a flyer for the Cowboys, imo...
Sgt. Ryan
crowded backfield in dallas with Julius, Barber, Thompson and the new kid. But you really cant have too many quality players on your football team, so I hope if he has something, he finds a way to stick with the team. theboxcutter
I remember Summers from back at USC... He was really highly regarded when he showed up (I think Rivals had him as the #3 All-Purpose back in the country) but brought a lot of baggage with him. For whatever reason, Holtz used a number of backs that year (I think Kenny Irons - the guy starring at Auburn now - was in the mix, too) even though Summers clearly was the most talented. He ran a little upright but other than that looked like he had the size and speed to play in the NFL. I wouldn't know about the guy's vision or attitude, but I know I was more impressed with him than I was with JJ in college. With that being said, the guy has been a huge mess off the field since then. He's also entering a crowded backfield, so I wouldn't pay him much mind right now. However, if Parcells gives some kind of indication that he likes the kid, then I'd keep an eye on him... We all know how Parcells gets with his pet projects.
