Puddy
I gave my reason for liking Portis over Edge in the voting thread. Pretty much the situation is better. I find it interesting that Barber is getting so many votes at this spot. Funny how he has consistently been overated in the draft year after year and is finally getting his respect. Problem to me is, I think this may be the year he is actually overrated. Pick #4 at an age when he should start slowing down and maybe the second year guy (Jacobs) gets in the picture. I love the guy, but think 4 is too high.

Puddy
PPR. I didn't realize either but even so, Barber had 24 more receptions than Portis last year. Nothing to sneeze at but with Portis being in that run oriented offense and being 6 years younger than Tiki, I still like him more there. Both are worthy of this spot, IMO. The PPR pushed it just enough into Barber's favor for me. Portis will certainly be getting my vote in the next go-round. TimC
Eli will take alot of pressure off Tiki that the Redskins QB mess won't take off Portis IMO. Broken-finger Brunell, Todd Collins and/or Jason Campbell aren't even on the same bus as Eli.

Skippy
All of my reasons for voting Tiki have already been said. Tiki gets it done and will catch plenty of balls. It is really between Portis and Tiki for me and I like the QB situation in NY much better which just tilts things a little in Tiki's direction. Portis will be my next vote thoug. That has cost me in years past but I'm going to keep on not liking Barber and one year I'll be right. And with each passing year I get closer and closed to being right that Barber is done. Buffalo Wings
I picked Edge with my 4th pick. The reason, though the line is definitely a bit weaker than in Indy, Arizona has the same firepower on offense that Indy does. Edge will fit in just fine there. Primetime9287
All I can say is I hope Im not picking anywhere in this area. 1-3 would be great but 9-10 is where I want to be if Im not 1-3. RBs from picks 4-10 are all even in my opinion, its just based on who you like more. (Portis, Barber, Rudi, McGahee, Edge, Caddy, McGahee, R. Brown, L. Jordan, S. Jackson). Id love to have pick 10 and pair up 2 of those guys. Even in a 12 team league you can pair up 2 of those guys with the 12th pick.
Avernus
I like Tiki as he gets the ball thrown to him more and does more with it after the catch than Portis....he has a better OL, QB and weapons IMO..plus the coaching is more conservative.... I think Portis would be the one more likely to get injured and miss time as well....regardless of age...Tiki knows how to not get killed out there... And with each passing year I get closer and closed to being right that Barber is done. Yup, me too. We'll get it right one of these years and be able to say i told you so I went a different direction and took Stephen Jackson, wanted to step out of the box a little and i see one of the three, R. Brown, C Williams, or Stephen Jackson finishing in the top 5 and Jackson has a more favorable running schedule than the rest IMO.

PantherDave
I like Barber at #4 as I see Eli having to check down to him quite a bit this season, plus he's going to get some yds and TD's as well. The twilight has not yet arrived for Tiki and I beleive he'll produce very nice #'s this year. I actually had a harder time with 1-3 than 4-7,as I had LJ, SA and LT2, but flip flopped on it somewhat as I had LJ at 3rd at one time. Clubfoothead
I want 1-2 or 9-12...best value at either draft position IMO.. Normally I like drafting 6-9. Oine thing I realized after 2 rounds in thehuddle mock #1 is that I'd prefer 1-3 this year folloed by 10-12. AT least if I got my choice. I might even take Jordan over Edge this season....as much as I don't like Jordan this year...

Big Score 1
When discounting Portis in regards to PPR leagues, don't forget who is the Skins new OC and how this OC has used his RB's in the passing game previously. Portis has a previous high of 40 receptions with the Skins. I expect him to add 10 to that as a minimum.

I personally like portis or caddy at 4, but have seen them go anywhere form 4-12. So the same guy im looking to get at 4 may still be there at 10. im hopin to get a last pick and maybe snag both of them. (maybe not portis but 2 of the backs you listed)
Egret
I'm a hugh Edge fan, but I picked Portis. With a first round pick, it's all about taking the safe pick. First round picks don't usually win you leagues, but they can be a lead albatross around your neck if you pick the wrong one. Portis is in his third year in the same system. He's a known entity who has put up great numbers. Edge could certainly outperform Portis, but he could just as easily underperform him too. tomfin2000
If this was keeper or dynasty material I'd agree, but for this year Tiki is the man. Ditto. Portis and Edge have been steady and reliable, but they haven't been as explosive as Barber, and it's been my experience that it's the explosive players that usually get you to the Big Dance, not the steady and reliable ones.
