Wally
In the mocks I've been doing, the #1 pick's second round options have been pretty weak in the RB department (Kevin Jones, Brian Westbrook, Julius Jones, etc), with guys like Jamaal Lewis, Curtis Martin, and Dominic Rhodes/Joseph Adai availble in the rounds 4-7. So my question is this, do you take LJ at one and then go back to back WR with guys like Holt, Owens, Boldin, and possibly Harrison? Seems to make more sense to have two stud WR's and then pick up a decent 2nd RB back in later rounds than to waste the pick on a guy whose productivity is iffy at best. NAUgrad
This is exactly were I make mistakes. I almost always draft RB's first and worry about WR later. I would take a stud WR, but I'd then grab Westbrook or KJ. Lewis is done and getting into an RBBC is dangerous.
Hat Trick
I would most definately take a #1 WR over those guys. You take the best player available and in this case you need a WR anyway so you do not grab a 3rd tier RB over the first tier WR's. Caveman_Nick
Brian Westbrook as a #2 RB is freaking fantastic. People are underestimating this guy because he was 'injured' last season. Philly threw in the towel last season is what happened. Westbrook will be a steal at 24.

I had the #1 last year in a league and went LT first then Chad Johnson in the second. I picked up Anderson and Parker during free agency which allowed me to win this league. I feel it'd be better to take 1. Johnson 24. Holt 25. Owens than 1. Johnson 24. Holt 25. K. Jones Hell Jamal Lewis is only 26 or 27, he's not done yet. And I'm not totally against waiting a while and taking a TD vulture like Brandon Jacobs, or (hopefully) Deuce McCallister. Plus there's a lot of rookies with upside. Others possibly available at the 4/5 round turn: D Foster/D Williams Chester Taylor D Staley (I know picking him here woud be a stretch) J Jones (seen this in a couple of mocks)
twiley
Who was you #3 pick? Well, the 3rd pick was somewhat of a gamble but based on the scoring in this league it did prove to be a great 3rd pick until... I believe week 7. Marc Bulger. Looking back I would have faired better with Palmer or Hasselbeck but IMO Bulger, at the time, was primed for a pretty successful season. We've sinced changed the scoring in this league and had this years scoring been in place then I would have never considered Bulger.
Clubfoothead
If I had the 1-3 picks I'd still make sure I have 2 RBs and 1 WR after the first 3 rounds. I can't remember the last time, if ever, I didn't have 2 RBs and 1 WR after 3 rounds.

If a tier 1 WR was available(or 2) I would take him and perhaps package Foster and DeAngelo as my #2 later. If you wait you may be able to packega a rookie and veteran but it is risky, yet tier 1 WR's(top 3) are hard to beat.
Clubfoothead
The one thing I notice din doin the mock is that there arent so much a 2nd or 3rd tier of WRS this year, rather a really hugh 2nd tier.
