cliaz
Marvin Lewis is already planning at least one start for Carson Palmer during the upcoming slate of preseason games. As for the date of the start? "I'll tell you later," Lewis told the Dayton Daily News. "But it's already set. You're not going to not let him play in preseason and then think he can roll out there the first game against Kansas City (Sept 10). So that's always been the plan." It appears Palmer's recovery is going very well. Marvin Lewis understands that his team needs Palmer to compete, and if Palmer is able to start the season all of the Bengals have improved fantasy value . The Irish Doggy
Saw clips of him moving around on the evening news tonight. I am 100% convinced that he will be back and ready for the opener.

He better be because I think he is a major core of that offense.
Avernus
this solidifies his current spot as #2 on my rankings..... while he still has to move...his QB skills are based on his arm and not his legs....even though he has some scrambling ability... Not entirely true, it still takes the ability to plan that foot and drive the football forward. The stability of his knee is pretty critical in the throwing process, especially when it comes to a certain amount of velocity. The same thing goes for pitchers.. while their arms need to be strong to whip the ball, their legs have to be just as strong to thrust the ball forward (see: Rogers Clemens). Traditionally in baseball (I know this is football we're talking about) the higher you are the harder you can throw (this comes from the power you can get from longer legs). Just a thought to chew on.
