Miami Dolphins

This team will be solid I believe. I think Nick Saban is an awesome coach and he is gonna have tons of success in the NFL. I think they are getting the pieces and will be a force to reckon with. Hopefully I'll be able to come home from school and see them play the Bears at Soldier Field. I think they definitely compete for a wild card spot. 9-7, 10-6 is a fair guess.

10-6 or maybe 11-5. The AFC East is pretty weak and they play the scrubs from the NFC North this year. D-Pep's health will obviously determine a lot of their success or failure. I'm really worried about three things:

1) Higher expectations now so watch out

2) Can Ronnie Brown carry the load?

3) Is the secondary improved?

A couple years ago, the Bills finished 9-7, scoring about 30 points a game. The next season was last season.

I think the Dolphins are being overrated this year, and until they prove they can get back in the playoffs, theyre still just an average team at best.

And thats my honest opinion, not just because I hate them...

I think they will be pretty good this year... on the brink of the playoffs (probably about a 9-7 record). I think they will be a lot better in another year or two though. This is not THE year for the Dolphins IMO.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Miami will be a lot better, even without Ricky in the backfield this year. Brown will have a stud type year, Daunte will go off also as soon as he see's the field. I say we go 11-5 with this schedule.

Here's my take... ending up at 9-7. A couple of them will be close, particularly the Minnesota and the Kansas City games IMHO.

HA your hilarious. I think Miami will win atleast 1 of the games against New England, and no way they lose to Minnesota, the KC game will be close, we could possibly lose.

Well, my hilarious aside... that is how I predict it will happen. Of course any one of those games can go either way which is why they play them... but I'm sure you are a lot more objective about the Dolphins than I am. :D

Yeah probably, but seriously you actually think that Miami will lose to Tennessee and Minnesota?

Yes, seriously I do. Everyone thinks Culpepper is going to come in and be this immediate answer in Miami... but objectively there are GIANT question marks about him in this upcoming season. He's returning from about as bad of knee surgery as you can get... his play before that injury was nothing short of horrible... he allowed his personal life to distract his team... he has to learn a new offense and learn new teammates to play along with... and his backup in case his knee does flare up is Joey Harrington.

I understand being a fan of the Dolphins and wanting them to do well (they have some very good pieces in place), but the overconfidence being displayed in this team right now is just not reasonable enough IMO.

I agree with some of the stuff you are saying, but as far as his play, who did he have to throw to? Burleson sure as heck didn't step up and lead the receiving corp. He had horrible rb's, everything in Minnesota was screwed up. Now he comes to Miami, new coach, new system, new beginning. He has a true wide receiver in Chambers, a good receiving tight end in McMichael, and someone he can trust to hand the rock too in Brown. The defense has upgrade players through out the off season, and we our solidifying our offensive line.

And about Harrington:

I think the kid has what it takes, he might not have showed it in Detroit, but I think he'll get the job done. Last year we had Gus Frerotte under center and went onto a 9-7 record, Harrington couldn't be that much worse than Frerotte could he? :D Plus, he has a great coach in Saban, this is the year the Dolphins take the AFC East, just wait and see.
