kpholmes
From FoxSports Not quite sure what I think of this. Randy is probably just bored and wanted to stir the pot a bit...
Big Score 1
From FoxSports Not quite sure what I think of this. The Falcons have a higher standard for their players than the Raiders, perhaps? Moss then wrapped up his comments on the situation in Atlanta: "Basically it was the president and owner of the team saying there is no cold chance in hell I'll be playing for the Atlanta Falcons. So I took the Atlanta Falcons off my list and tried to go elsewhere." Well Randy, maybe if you didn't moon fans, walk off the field while the game is still going, squirt Refs with your water bottle and stop using traffic cops as hood ornaments with a blunt in your ashtray, maybe the Falcons would've had a spot for you. Oh! And by the way. You didn't cross Atlanta off your list...they crossed you off, you dufus.

kpholmes
I just gained a little more respect for the Falcons. Why because they'll support people like Eugene Robinson and Ron Mexico, but don't want a superstar who pretends to rival fans in a big game? Whatever you say... At least Oakland doesn't pretend to be interested in character, they'll take the talent. In the end, its still Atlanta's loss not having Moss line up at WR. Big Score 1
Obveously. Every team has higher player standards than the Raiders. But... how many rings do the Falcons have? Falcons came within a game of the Superbowl two years ago without any punks on the roster like Moss. Sure you can try going with the Ron Mexico bit....but FYI, the Gold Digger dropped all charges and there wasn't enough evidence for the DA to consider pursuing it. Wonder why she would drop all charges? Oh! That's right. She was only in it for the dough and once she got that, end of story.
Randall
Obveously. Every team has higher player standards than the Raiders. But... how many rings do the Falcons have? Except maybe for the Ravens. I heard McCay didn't want Jimmy Williams this year, but they drafted him anyway. Perhaps because Hall can work with him.

Whatever you say... At least Oakland doesn't pretend to be interested in character, they'll take the talent. In the end, its still Atlanta's loss not having Moss line up at WR. FYI kpholmes, Did you know that Robinson had won the NFL's "Christian Man of the Year Award" the same year that while tripping over a curb his one eyed wonder accidently fell out towards the cop posing as a Hooker. It was a sting of DeLorean proportions just so the cops could say they got the "Christian Man of the Year" on solicitation charges. Ok...Ok...so maybe his one eyed wonder didn't "accidently" fall out of his pants while tripping over a curb, but seriously, can you think of anything better than what he had planned, to take that nervous edge off, right before one of the biggest games of your life? Plus, it's the oldest profession in the world, so it can't be all bad, can it? As for your Ron Mexico referrence, see previous post of mine. That trollop was a Gold Digger from Hell and as soon as she squeezed some jingle outa Vick, she dropped all charges. Art Blank doesn't "pretend" to be interested in character. He truly is. Your insinuation otherwise, was out of line.

Return Of S&B
Randy only wanted to be a Falcon because he liked the idea of Vick throwing to him....he couldnt give a ratt's azz about the Falcon's franchise. Anyway spraying a water bottle at a ref and pretending to moon some fans is completely different level of character issue than beating up your wife/girlfriend (Steelers - Santonio Holmes / Bucs - Pittman) being an accessory to murder (Ravens - RayRay) selling drugs (Ravens - Jamal) and pointing a gun and then procede to beat the living crap out of somebody (Redskins - Taylor)

Randall
She jumped on the hood...I thought that was cleared up a LONG time ago! Not to her satisfaction. Big Score 1
She jumped on the hood...I thought that was cleared up a LONG time ago! Dude, she jumped on the hood, because if she hadn't, she would've been under his SUV. Moss somehow missed the fact that there was a Traffic Officer right in front of his car, all the while blowing her whistle at him to stop. And of course, the joint in his ashtray was somebody else's. And what do you mean by, it was cleared up a LONG time ago? Did you mean that yeah, he did it, went to Court for it and was found guilty of the charges? Because if that's what you meant, then yeah, you're correct. Still doesn't change the fact that he did it. Nothing changes the fact that he got dismissed from a Div 1A College program for toking up (Florida State), lost his Notre Dame scholarship, beat up some kid in High School with a couple of other thugs, screamed obscenities at Vikings Corporate Sponsors because they accidentally sat in his seat on the team bus, openly says he smokes Josh Gordon, walked off the field during a game while his team still had a chance and says he only plays when he wants to. Now, after being a Raider for a year, he comes out and publicly says he really would've preferred to be a Raven or a Falcon. That'll endear him to his Coaches & teammates. The guy is an all world talent as an NFL WR, no doubt about it. But he's also an all world classless punk...and there's no doubt about that either. Big Score 1
If a man stole your car, you wouldn't punch him given the chance? Turns out the so called "victims" of Taylor's asswhupping are now both in jail on subsequent theft charges. They've got rap sheets as long as both your legs put together. Justifying one bad act by saying "these guys were worse" is lame. How is that lame? Just simply stating that there are other players in the league that have "character issues" a lot worse then Randy Moss. In fact just about every team in the league has at least one headcase or two. Cmon now, even the NFL golden boy Steelers now have a headcase on their team in Santonio Holmes . Even players that you would normally think were perfect role models turn out to be just like the rest of them (Steve McNair - Arrested for Drunk Driving a couple years ago) These guys are athletes, not choir boys, and many of them come from rough neighborhoods. I'm not saying Moss is an angel but to not want him on your team because of "character issues" shows how naive the Falcon's franchise is. It has nothing to do with what player #6 did when teams evaluate whether they want him or not. It is what children do, not what adult should do. Atlanta didn't want him, end of story. He went to Oakland.

Joey Porter? Santonio Holmes? And dont get me started on Taylor....wasnt he the one who spit in Michael Pittman's face last year? The fact that his father is a police officer in Florida got him out of serving 15 years in prison for carrying a firearm. As stated above, none of these guys in the NFL are perfect and all of them have some history they would rather not have the press knowing about. Moss is just the average NFL athlete who has been careless in the past....but since becoming a Raider he's been the model teamate. Does the press focus on this? Absolutely not because that doesnt sell papers, magazines or get increased viewership. It was pretty sad when Moss was interviewed last year and was asked about what he thought of Norv Turners offense...the press got almost no negative reaction from him....he just politely gave a politically correct answer....so the press made a big stink about his pause before issueing his answer...now that's lame. Raider.Nation
I'm not going to jump into this discussion as a Raider fan or Randy Moss fan but as an NFL fan. What Randy Moss did in GB was minor. He pretended to moon some fans, big frickin deal. He was sticking it to some of fans. Why do the Vikings have to take secret routes to get to the games every Sunday at Lambeau. Because their bus is pelted with tomatoes and eggs, and they get harassed the entire route to the field. They get their fun harassing the opposing players, why can't he have some fun with them. Everyone is OK with guys like CJ or Steve Smith rubbing it in every time they score a TD and celebrate with one of those lame river dance celebrations?!? Why can't Moss do it his way? I agree that it is and was an immature and bonehead move, and as a HC I certainly wouldn't allow that kind of behavior. But to completely write off a top talent at an important position like WR come on! Blank didn't want to spend the money it would cost to bring in a loud mouthed ultra talented WR like Randy Moss. PantherDave
We need the season to start if this is the Hot Topic on the board this morning. Moss is Moss-nothing has changed, he plays in Oakland and if he's unhappy-well low and behold, he sighned a contract.
