D Carter to overtake Keyshawm?

Want two Panthers players to keep an eye on in training camp in Spartanburg in less than two weeks?

The first is Drew Carter, who has such great speed that it's going to be difficult to keep him off the field if he stays healthy. Don't be surprised if the Panthers use more three-wide sets to get Carter out there. It won't be a total shock if Carter started some games in front of Keyshawn Johnson.

The second?

Rookie third-round pick James Anderson (6-foot-2, 240 pounds) is a talented outside linebacker who joins an unsettled position. The Panthers are happy with what they've seen so far. He'll be a factor.

Right, they just paid Keyshawn all of that money to be their slot receiver. :D

I could see them cutting Key after this season, but I seriously doubt that Drew Carter is going to start in front of him.

As I've said numerous times, DC will get plenty of playing time this season, but he will be the deepthreat and Key will play the possesion WR with Colbert as the #4 backing him up.

The LB corp will most likely for week 1 be TD at SLB Morgan at MLB and Keith Adams at WLB, now the WLB spot could change before week 1, but that is pretty much the slate right now-only time will tell.

I already had Carter on my radar...

Keyshawn prefers the "flanker" position which is sort of like a 2nd TE/WR....it helps him get space by being in close...

Carter would be spread wide and be the deep threat while Smith is the #1 who does pretty much anything in the playbook...

Keyshawn will be the guy they look to when it's 3rd and 4 or inside the 10 and Smith is seeing all kinds of coverage...which likely won't happen anymore...

Jake Delhomme should be a top 5 QB by the end of the season...
