Garden Produce

Man, there is just nothing like healthy home grown tomats! My plants seem to be rebounding some (as chronicled in another thread) and the solution seems to be using NO Miracle Grow. I've started using calcium and epsom salts instead, and they seem to be a bit happier. Nothing like a BLT with garden tomatoes! Enjoy, Joe!

Finally got me some big juicy tomatoes from the garden. They taste great. Summer is now complete.

had our 1st tomatoes on salad both Fri and Sat evening. Also, the 1st sweet corn of the season from our local farm stand.

1st Green peppers of the season were used for "Stuffed Peppers" last evening.

Good stuff! :D

Glad to hear Joe! My plants are doing pretty well. Lot's of green fruit and per Rover's recommend, I've used Miracle Gro a couple of times. :D

I have used Miracle grow for years, with excellent results. Tomatoes so big, they overlap a slice of bread! This year, it doesn't seem to be working for me however. I've never planted in this location before, so this soil may be very nitrogen rich to begin with. Too much nitro is worse than not enough. I've gone to calcium and epsom salts, and the plants seem to be improving. Same for my hot pepper plants. I will wait on applying any more nitrogen rich fertilizers (like Miracle Grow) and see how it goes.
